Hmm. 24 hour passage out of Gaza. Not sure I’d trust I wouldn’t be annihilated once appearing in the open.

Israel has overplayed its hand here so much that they’re going to lose the sympathy of the world and hand a “victory” to Hamas. The British government needs to speak out, if they stand by and say nothing and keep backing Israel how can they start complaining when Palestinian refugees start arriving by boat fleeing a war that the government championed.

They will do as they do for all the other asylum seekers and dehumanise them by treating them as criminals for trying to arrive.

They don’t connect the incidents

Israel want a Palestinian slaughter, Hamas want martyrs.

This is Genocide.

Its some fucking sick irony that its Israel perpetrating it.

This will radicalise more Global Islamic terrorism than the Iraq & Afghanistan wars combined.

If the USA, UK & other western nations continue its "unwavering support" for the Israelis & their imminent mass slaughter of innocent civilians, then it will make them (us) legitimate targets in millions of peoples eyes......

Theres definitely something fishy going on. Especially as it's been all but confirmed that Netanyahu was given a warning by the Egyptians.
If the 1.1 million people do manage to get to South gaza they'll never return. Another land grab by Israel.
As I've already said, this has been a massive opportunity for Netanyahu handed to him on a plate by hamas.
I fucking hate him and them, I really do, this is one of the most depressing events in recent history and there's been a few.

Shock Doctrine politics in action.

The FA said "we stand for humanity and an end to the death, violence, fear and suffering."

That's exactly what they should do, surely? A period of silence for all victims.
There's a lot of things I don't understand about this situation, I imagine most people would be the same given the complex history but we live in a world where most people are certain they are right on every subject, but this kind of thing really blows my mind.

How are we in a situation where if you say you want the suffering of innocent people on both sides, or indeed the killing of innocent people on both sides to end, it causes issues. People are being called anti-semetic, terrorist sympathisers etc for suggesting raining down bombs on innocent children isn't on.

Hamas claims 13 hostages in Gaza killed in air strikes

At least 13 Israeli and foreign hostages held in the Gaza Strip have been killed in Israeli air strikes in the past 24 hours, Hamas’s armed wing says.
"Thirteen prisoners... including foreigners" were killed in five locations targeted by Israeli fighter jets, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement.

Iran is warning US to control Israel to prevent regional War,

Sky News did a good analysis. In essence it's like asking the population of Birmingham to all move into Dudley.

They'd have to walk, obviously, through narrow streets, already congested by rubble.

Direct quote from Sky: "The area also contains 11 hospitals, three United Nations's compounds and two refugee camps which will need to be evacuated - all within 24 hours."

It's an impossible demand, obviously.

Of course Israel wants to get back at Hamas, and we'd be right to give them every possible support in doing so. But anywhere else in the world this approach would rightly be called ethnic cleansing or even genocide.

It's abhorrent madness, and like 9/11 it's going set back any possible peace process for decades. Also like 9/11, this is exactly what the terrorists and extremists on both sides want to do.

They've already bombed two un schools, no one killed miraculously.

It's social media and the internet for you.

I agree. Sometimes by choice. Doesn’t mean that they should green light the actions of Israel.
What's their alternative?

They can hardly green light the actions of a terrorist outfit like Hamas can they. And let's not forget the first priority of any government is to protect its people.

There's an argument that the response was not proportionate, or lead to more suffering of innocent people, but that argument doesn't stand up well when you consider Hamas have fired 150 missiles into Israel in the last 24 hrs.

Nice of you to wade in with your tiny pea brain.

The Israeli government’s actions also aren’t helping Jews around the world. Anti Semitic attacks up in pretty much every country in the world and Jewish based faith schools in the U.K. are closing until at least Monday for fear of being targeted.

Hasn’t Israel fired 3000 into Gaza? By that standard and using your own logic that must mean Hamas is the victim here.

To be fair you are justifying war crimes
No I'm not, it's a shit show and more innocents will get killed. I categorically do not want to see that.

What I'm explaining is why Israel feels justified in their actions.
That doesn't mean the response is correct or proportional. But I don't see how the UN or anyone else can stop what is happening.

What Israel is doing is in no-one's interests and that includes Jews in Israel and outside. It will lead to further division and extremism that will blight generations to come. It's truly disastrous.

Israel responded to the attack on the music festival which was the action that started this latest round of military action.

As I've said, I'm not saying the action was proportional, but apart from most people agreeing that it's another humanitarian shit show, I've yet to hear of a workable solution that leads to a ceasefire/ lasting peace.

Yes, yes you are.

By your own words you said that the argument that the response is not proportional doesn't stand up ergo you are saying the response was proportional and thus justified.

Your words

"There's an argument that the response was not proportionate, or lead to more suffering of innocent people, but that argument doesn't stand up well when you consider Hamas have fired 150 missiles into Israel in the last 24 hrs."
