Israel - Palestinian Conflict (73 Viewers)

Let's just say for once, that the IDF are telling the truth (this bearing in mind that it's an organisation with a long and proven history of misinformation), then there's still a massive amount of hypocrisy in their approach.

If you watched the BBC last night, the IDF spokesman was outraged at Jeremy Bowen for even suggesting it might be an Israeli strike. Outraged that he thought they might even do such a thing.

Basically what he was saying was that the IDF doesn't bomb hospitals because they know that deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure isn't something civilised democracies can do.

Obviously in the meantime though, the IDF and the Israeli state is preventing water, power, and medical supplies from getting to hospitals - so they are clearly and openly preventing civilians from receiving urgently needed medical care.

Personally, I can't see this as much different to dropping a bomb on them, the inevitable deaths and suffering will just take a bit longer.

To me, it's a war crime in progress, plain and simple, and much as we should support Israel's right to defend itself from terrorism, we can't support that defence in itself becoming an even larger act of terror.

wtf is that?

Genuinely do you know what you are posting? Even Israel admits there was a massive explosion with massive loss of life, it's just that thhey say it wasn't them that caused the explosion.

Also you seem to contradicting yourself, you are posting about how Hamas have the weaponry to make and explosion that size and then you post tweets from crackpots claiming there wasn't really an explosion?

You are all over the place on this.

Shotgun trolling. Not worth the effort to engage, imho.

Yea no I'm not, I stick with the failed missile story.

I've shown enough evidence that backs up what I believe, as for a massive explosion fuel causes an explosion and rockets contain fuel.

In otherworld you know I'm right and it's coming to light that it was really a failed missile not a 2000lbs jdam bonb that people are claiming.

As for cutting off water you realise that water wasn't flowing anyway after hamas dug up the water pipes?

you are though Kieran, you are using people saying there was no rocket attack to back you a theory you have. you probably need to check what you post and understand it first

until then there's not point in engaging with you as you are clearly struggling

once again I ask that you go away and really try and understand what you are trying to say

It's going to be the accepted narrative in the west no matter what anyone else says or what evidence is presented to the contrary.

The implications for conceding otherwise are massive. What a depressing place the world is at the moment.

And of course even if they can provide cast iron proof it was Jihadists it won't be believed in the Arab world so the shit show is just going to escalate.

I don't think this will end well for the hostages though I hope I'm wrong.

Our local MP's struggle to put enough pressure on people to make sure the fucking bins are collected on the right day I wouldn't hold out much hope for anything else from them
What is it with far right and their obsession with bins getting collected. (TBC - not alleging you are far right Saddlebrains!)

Unless there's strong independent evidence, I suspect Arab countries will just take this as another example of America (and the West) taking Israel's side, right or wrong.

Regardless, it doesn't really change the rest of the situation, where Israel is in effect brutally punishing the entire civilian population of Gaza for the actions of terrorists.

I'm not a religious believer, too many other things in this solar system and beyond that can't be explained, but I don't try and promote my non beliefs on anyone, this is where religion differs, it's got to be this or it's got to be that. Why can't we all just think there is good and bad everywhere in the world. I can't 100% say who did this atrocity as I have not delved deep enough into it to form an opinion, but just to say it's always the innocents who end up paying the price

They're not fighting over differences in the Koran and the Torah, they're fighting over land, same as Russia and Ukraine who are both nominally Christian countries.

I agree in someways, but that land has been at the centre of struggle for thousands of years by many religions
