Any bomb used against civilians (or a civilian facility) is a war crime, if civilians were deliberately targeted. Doesnt have to be a cluster bomb, it can be any weapon.
But it becomes tricky when the enemy is deliberately using a civilian facility to hide military equipment, which is definitely what Russia has done. And what Hamas has done in Gaza.
Hamas are well known for attacking Israel from a civilian position, then claiming “war crime committed by imperialist Zionist pigdog“ when Israel fires back. Especially when Israel has a legit right to fire back

Ukraine deserve all the support if not Russia will rebuild and go again as the did with the czenia war, this time it won't be ukraine vs Russians it will be hungary, Slovaks, czechs against Russia and ukraine.

If Russia invades/attacks Hungary it’d mean NATO being directly involved in fighting.
Once financial support dries up Ukraine will be in a much weaker position to negotiate. It’s inevitable that it’ll end in a negotiated settlement.

I don't think that the west will stop funding Ukraine unless (god forbid) Trump gets back in. The vast majority of the western world wants a regime change in Russia so will keep funding them.
Things have slowed down to a stalemate again across most of the front as they do every year at this time. The weather makes it virtually impossible to make any worthwhile attacks or movement so both sides will prepare for things to start again in the spring.
One caveat to this might be the Ukrainians pushing out from their position from the left bank of the Dnipro river if they think that they can advance.

Anyone seen as a "viable" alternative by the West is either ostracized or in prison. There is no free political infrastructure for moderates or other parties to mount a challenge. Key roles including governorships are filled with Putin's own people.
The "west" has still not learnt what they deem acceptable is often not appropriate or acceptable to local circumstances and often fails.

A poll in Russia shows that support for the war in Ukraine has collapsed since the previous poll in February. The largest majority now want a full withdrawal and Putin is worried with presidential elections coming next year.
