So amnesty are talking shite and don’t understand the war crime definition?
Shelling children on the beach certainly qualifies
Cluster bombs are a war crime when used against civilians. Ukraine have not used cluster bombs against civilians.
How were Hamas hiding behind the children on the beach?Any bomb used against civilians (or a civilian facility) is a war crime, if civilians were deliberately targeted. Doesnt have to be a cluster bomb, it can be any weapon.
But it becomes tricky when the enemy is deliberately using a civilian facility to hide military equipment, which is definitely what Russia has done. And what Hamas has done in Gaza.
Hamas are well known for attacking Israel from a civilian position, then claiming “war crime committed by imperialist Zionist pigdog“ when Israel fires back. Especially when Israel has a legit right to fire back
How were Hamas hiding behind the children on the beach?
So why did the IDF shell children on the beach?tunnels used by Hamas…..maybe a tragic fucking mistake……..maybe even not a factual event……maybe Hamas did it and blamed Israel
I refer the right honourable poster to my previous, accurate answer, whilst ignoring the obvious gag about shells on a beachSo why did the IDF shell children on the beach?
It’ll inevitably end in a negotiated settlement.Still going in Ukraine. Diplomacy solution needed but highly unlikely.
And then Russia invading again to take a bit more until it has the lot. It’ll inevitably end in a negotiated settlement.
It’s the reality of the situation- a conflict that neither side will win.And then Russia invading again to take a bit more until it has the lot.
One side ultimately will if Ukraine continues to sign away its territory piece by piece. It’s the reality of the situation- a conflict that neither side will win.
What do you propose? Spending billions on a stalemate for decades to come? One side ultimately will if Ukraine continues to sign away its territory piece by piece.
Tipping the balance in Ukraine’s favour enough for it to get Russia out. What do you propose? Spending billions on a stalemate for decades to come?

More and more it’s going to be reliant on the US funding it, there’s a pattern in the EU with leaders to the right being voted in who are opposed to more military funding.I mean it’s a bargain compared to the alternative. But we could just stop slow walking military aid and give them enough to do the job
Literally this, If the leaders didn't prance around being all stupid last year we could of gave them everything needed and I'm 99% sure if we did that Russia wouldn't be in ukraine atleast the parts they raided instantly.I mean it’s a bargain compared to the alternative. But we could just stop slow walking military aid and give them enough to do the job
And it that scenario NATO would also be involved.Literally this, If the leaders didn't prance around being all stupid last year we could of gave them everything needed and I'm 99% sure if we did that Russia wouldn't be in ukraine atleast the parts they raided instantly.
Ukraine deserve all the support if not Russia will rebuild and go again as the did with the czenia war, this time it won't be ukraine vs Russians it will be hungary, Slovaks, czechs against Russia and ukraine.
More and more it’s going to be reliant on the US funding it, there’s a pattern in the EU with leaders to the right being voted in who are opposed to more military funding.
Why? Are we involved directly now? We have given then almost everything, the only thing we haven't given them is quantity. And it that scenario NATO would also be involved.
If Russia invades/attacks Hungary it’d mean NATO being directly involved in fighting. Why? Are we involved directly now? We have given then almost everything, the only thing we haven't given them is quantity.
As for nato getting involved directly. Its only a matter of time before it happens Russia won't try to stop expanding.
Your proposal is for Ukraine to Keal over and die even though they have been fighting for freedom since the soviet Union.
I don't think that the west will stop funding Ukraine unless (god forbid) Trump gets back in. The vast majority of the western world wants a regime change in Russia so will keep funding them.
Things have slowed down to a stalemate again across most of the front as they do every year at this time. The weather makes it virtually impossible to make any worthwhile attacks or movement so both sides will prepare for things to start again in the spring.
One caveat to this might be the Ukrainians pushing out from their position from the left bank of the Dnipro river if they think that they can advance.
Anyone seen as a "viable" alternative by the West is either ostracized or in prison. There is no free political infrastructure for moderates or other parties to mount a challenge. Key roles including governorships are filled with Putin's own people. The Us certainly want regime change but they want a stooge like Gorbachov or a fool like Yeltsin. What they’d get would likely be far worse than Putin
LolWe have given then almost everything, the only thing we haven't given them is quantity.
Yup, I heard that. Which renders it all totally pointless. It’s total stalemate
Who’s Gaining Ground in Ukraine? This Year, No One. (Published 2023)
Although both sides have launched ambitious offensives, the front line has barely shifted. After 18 months of war, a breakthrough looks more difficult than ever.www.nytimes.com
I don't know but I think Putin might win though.A poll in Russia shows that support for the war in Ukraine has collapsed since the previous poll in February. The largest majority now want a full withdrawal and Putin is worried with presidential elections coming next year.
Plucky underdog wins against all the odds.I don't know but I think Putin might win though.
Doesn't care. No credible threat as they are either in prison or left the country. Hard to have a political debate when it's now a prisonable offence to criticize the govt.A poll in Russia shows that support for the war in Ukraine has collapsed since the previous poll in February. The largest majority now want a full withdrawal and Putin is worried with presidential elections coming next year.
Need to hurry up and sign away 20% of their land in time for Putin’s Christmas.Ukraine signals a shift toward defense as analysts ask whether 'failed counteroffensive' is over
Ukraine signaled it's shifting its military tactics to a more defensive footing after an analysis of Russia's resource capabilities, and as winter arrives.www.cnbc.com
I’m starting to think our guys on the frontline were wrong. It also looks like the infamous counter-offensive is over.
It’s going to be inevitable, I’m afraid.Need to hurry up and sign away 20% of their land in time for Putin’s Christmas.
As will the next 20% until it’s all gone. It’s going to be inevitable, I’m afraid.
