I am a massive fan of Wright, he is constantly in the right positions and yes he has missed a few chances this season but he isn't the only player that struggled at the beginning. All the new players had slow starts and what else would you expect when 8 or 9 new players are all brought in and within 4 weeks have to play a competitive football match against strong teams that haven't had the same number of outgoings and incomings. Wright plays his best football when he is out on the left and without Godden or Simms playing as forwards. If i was Robins, my front 3 would be Wright on the left Kasey Palmer as a false 9 and Sakamoto on the right hand side with O'hare playing behind Palmer. The sole focus is the 4 of them creating space and openings through their really tricky, agile and quick footwork. Simms while he isn't scoring needs to be brought into the team for 25 to 35 minutes per game and coming on for either of the front 3 depending on who is tired. Godden for me really takes away a lot of what makes us such a threat in the final third. As you have seen in many games the sheer work rate and high pressure Sakamoto, Palmer and O'hare put on defenders when trying to win the ball back, Wright has recently started adding this to his game and he will get better and better as the games go on and as the pressure of his price tag slowly is forgotten. No doubt tho, Godden needs to be replaced by someone who will promise you hard work and energy, we also need a central midfield player. Other than that i am really impressed by this new team we have, we have moved away from the 1 or 2 star players and added a really balanced side that suits the players we have.
