I've always said goal difference usually ends up putting you approximately where you belong, although you do get some weird exceptions to that rule. Ours is starting to look pretty healthy.

Norwich did improve in the second half and managed a draw.They had only 25% play though 7 shots against 21, only 2 on target against 4 for Southampton.They did get 1 corner against 12. Not the sort of game you like to see at home
