I was going to mention this guy but then I remembered we actually signed him on a ‘permanent’ deal 🙄

The reason he is barely moving here (even less than usual!) was because he'd just pulled his hamstring.

I remember it well. He was on the bench, but hadn't bothered to get off his arse and warm up. So when he was called to come on, I turned to my mate and said 'I bet he pulls a muscle, he hasn't warmed up'.

Lo and behold about 5 minutes after coming on his hamstring popped 😂

Loan. No doubting he was poor for us but not his fault of course. Such a shame what happened to him.
I forgot what happened to him so just had a look after seeing your post. Missed out on an England cap because of a stomach bug and then almost killed in a motorcycle accident in Rome. Was brilliant for Rovers before that.

Blackburn actually paid his wages while with us, they just wanted to get him playing and up to speed. Shame it never happened.

He's nowhere near that list :ROFLMAO:

I'm not saying he was a brilliant signing by any means, but he played 14 times in half a season for a team that reached the playoff final.

Absolutely no comparison to the likes of Loza or Coulibaly who made a couple of appearances in a shit League 1 team.
He was brought in as a left wing back and he was never really trusted there, and a lot of the time he used to come on in the ACM position. He made a few appearances but didn't really contribute anything, a bit like Ayari needed a loan to league one before being thrown into the championship. He seems to be doing well in France this season, so his 14 appearances obviously helped him more than us.

I also can't get over his corners, don't think a single one left the ground.

I would have loved to have seen him come on during the play off final. He could run at people, and with Luton tiring, he could have helped get us over the line…

Yes his corners were shit I'll grant you that!

All of his starts were at LWB. But regardless of what position he did or didn't play, he is absolutely nowhere near a list of worst loans.

Robins said afterwards he wanted to get him on, but we ran out of subs due to injuries.

That's because he brought on injured Palmer for 15 minutes, which was absolute madness.

remember when people thought he was the next messiah because he had a shot from the halfway line in his first game…and missed btw.

Yep, agree. It was time for Robins to gamble on Wilson-Esbrand, but I think once Hamer was injured we went into defence mode, and Luton actually finished the game stronger. Anyhow, water under the bridge, but not correct to call him a poor signing.
