Sorry but some of the faux outrage is grating on me a little bit, unless it is a big game (A Man Utd v Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc) or a non-league side having their big payday - the attendance of FA Cup replays is, and has for the most part been absolutely dreadful for years nowWhat a load of rubbish.
Part of the magic and heritage of the cup is the unfancied underdog taking the big team to a replay, and they're trying to kill that off. Just another thing done to try and keep the top clubs happy.
Blackpool of L1 played a Prem side in Nottingham Forest at Bloomfield Road in a replay and posted an attendance less than their average in League One
Birmingham v Hull in a replay this season was attended by 7,133 people, our game v Wednesday was a sell out in the League yet despite offering much cheaper tickets we lost over 10,000 fans for the cup replay
Perhaps if some of the people moaning got off their arses and bothered to get to some whilst they had the chance they wouldn't be in line for the scrap
The average football fan is guilty of treating cup replays with contempt years before the FA did with their announcement yesterday
