What a load of rubbish.

Part of the magic and heritage of the cup is the unfancied underdog taking the big team to a replay, and they're trying to kill that off. Just another thing done to try and keep the top clubs happy.
Sorry but some of the faux outrage is grating on me a little bit, unless it is a big game (A Man Utd v Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc) or a non-league side having their big payday - the attendance of FA Cup replays is, and has for the most part been absolutely dreadful for years now

Blackpool of L1 played a Prem side in Nottingham Forest at Bloomfield Road in a replay and posted an attendance less than their average in League One

Birmingham v Hull in a replay this season was attended by 7,133 people, our game v Wednesday was a sell out in the League yet despite offering much cheaper tickets we lost over 10,000 fans for the cup replay

Perhaps if some of the people moaning got off their arses and bothered to get to some whilst they had the chance they wouldn't be in line for the scrap

The average football fan is guilty of treating cup replays with contempt years before the FA did with their announcement yesterday

The reason for the change isn't because of low attendances though, is it?

The gate for the replay was bigger than the gate for the initial tie, should we scrap the initial tie as well?
Compared to the league match, We lost 10,000 fans off our gate for a game against the exact same opposition when tickets were over 50% cheaper

Whether you agree with the FA's decision yesterday or not, that is madness and shows how much apathy crept into replays

Hard to like team Chelsea so don't often want them to win. But got to fancy our chances more against them if we somehow get through tomorrow.

Man City look a bit tired so it's a good opportunity for Chelsea

Lino over that side doesn't see much does he? That one should have been a goal kick!
