Finish top but get relegated due to the outcome of the unfair dismissal tribunal ruling in Adi Viveash's favour.

Da Silva is the cover. They wont be signing a third left back thats for sureIn my Book, it has to be a Left back as cover for Jake Bidwell, he's going to get injury at some point.
Decent post but what was the debacle with Dovin ? Did I miss something ?With the Dovin debacle now sorted, what actually do we need still?
Rb? After yday I’d be happy with Burroughs being the backup.
Cm- I think we need one but that would make 6 considering I think Allen would be a useful asset in this formation
ST- this is one we clearly need
Cb- maybe a right sided one if people don’t think Lati is up to it.

I think you just upset Jamie AllenI really think we need a top class cm with energy to play alongside Sheaf, Eccles and Torp are ok but I'm not sure if Sheaf, Eccles and Torp are enough for a team who want to be in the top 6 abr challenging the top 2.
Another striker would be nice but not as important as the CM for me.
This. Need a steadying influence in defence at times. Even if it diverts from the model a bit, an experienced stopper would add value especially when trying to close out games.Priority for me is a CB. We still haven’t replaced McFadzean.

CM - a '6' type that can break up opposition attacks, recycle and get us on the transition.
I'd rather try to give Obiku/Deutsch mins off the bench initially. If it doesn't work then look for a Premier half season loan in Jan. Admit this is a gamble though.
What do you mean by debacle? Seems a fairly routine process. With the Dovin debacle now sorted, what actually do we need still?

Don’t agree, I think Thomas is very good, Binks and Kitching have the potential to be and Lati is a decent squad player.Whilst I agree, it seems we're relying on a rather radical improvement from our centre halves over the summer.
Just the time frame around it being rumoured to announced! Debacle probably the wrong worsWhat do you mean by debacle? Seems a fairly routine process.
If Allen is cover for Sheaf we are in deep shit. So CM Is definitely a priority.View attachment 37023
Priority order for me would be a striker, centre mid then left/right back or a right winger. But get those first two in and our squad looks fantastic IMO.
I said very good? Binks and Kitching are both good enough and have the potential to be standout at this level. Lati won’t be playing 20 games at CB unless Thomas has a big injury. So out of 4, 1 is good enough, 2 have the potential to be and 1 is 'decent'?
Considering how strong we are elsewhere and with a target of promotion I think we should have 2 stand out CB's. Hopefully Binks or Kitching will step up, can't think of a successful season if Lati plays more than 20 games at CB.
He isn’t, Eccles would drop in and Torp would play. Allen will be 6th choice. If Allen is cover for Sheaf we are in deep shit. So CM Is definitely a priority.
Yea, I was kind of pointing out the inflexibility of the chart that was usedHe isn’t, Eccles would drop in and Torp would play. Allen will be 6th choice.
We wont be playing with a 10 this year it seems. 4-3-3 used so farYea, I was kind of pointing out the inflexibility of the chart that was used
I really can't see Allen getting much game time. If EMC isn't on the wing he'll be competing for the no10 position and I'm sure he and Palmer will be pushing Rudoni for the shirt.
The reason we need an additional centre back with experience is we need a natural leader there who doesn’t make many mistakes can talk them through a game and close it off at the end. Agree all 4 are improving but all 4 are capable of giving silly goals away.Don’t get the CB requirement, we have four and we play with two. We also have a perfect balance of two left and two right footers. The experience req is bit a red herring in my view. They all have another year in the Championship behind them, experience doesn’t equal better and bringing another in is a waste of wages.
Also don’t get the RB ask. Burroughs looked good enough two years ago and he’s 23 now, he isn’t a young hot prospect. Get him as understudy, give him a confidence boost and he’ll be a good Championship full back.
CM I agree with. We already have 6 (plus Andrews) but a classy ball player would be worth the expense and I’d then expect to see one (Allen/Palmer) move on.
LB - ideally we upgrade but not without one leaving and neither are. Bidwell is a solid starter at his level and JDS can offer something, especially in games we expect to dominate and play on the front foot.
ST - definitely need a young, hungry high potential striker. I’m confident we’ll find one.
All in all, we’re in such good shape and should be really excited for the season.
Wright's better on the left & cannibalising other positions got us in trouble last year. It's certainly an option but I'd prefer a proper backup. Why do people keep talking about how we need to sign back up for Simms? If he's out, Wright moves across, EMC comes in on the left. I don't get it.
Binks looked good last year but just couldn't get the minutes. Kitching was unlucky at times with the red cards, and has potential imo, he is aggressive off the ball and looks good on the ball.Where is your evidence that Binks and Kitching are good enough to play for one of the best teams in the league? We've got proven class in every position apart from CB. None of them are proven. Big risk in my opinion.
Kitching scored 2 own goals...Binks played 18 times and had one or two good games, Kitching was suspended for about 18 games and scored more own goals than i think ive ever seen a player score. There is no concrete evidence that they are good enough centre halves for a team with aspirations of promotion.. Bobby Thomas seems to be our first choice CB, even he is prone to a calamity. We should have 2 elite CB's.
The new keeper is young and inexperienced, plus where is this new protection coming from in midfield?
And when Wright gets tired or injured we then do what ?Why do people keep talking about how we need to sign back up for Simms? If he's out, Wright moves across, EMC comes in on the left. I don't get it.

In a 50 game season, it’s just not tenable to have only 2 strikers. Wright covers two positions too.And when Wright gets tired or injured we then do what ?
We lost godden and signed nobody. We need a strikerbut it was a lack of options out wide that killed us last season. We've fixed that. Sakamoto, Wright, Raphael, EMC.
and moving Wright across won't be the same as last year. EMC coming in isn't Palmer or O'Hare shoved out wide.
I'm not against adding someone through the middle but folks talking like we 'have to' add someone there is what I don't get.
