I really don't agree on this leadership idea.
It's not like we're starting games well and losing our way. Or going down early and heads dropping.
The performance as a team just isn't there. There's little cohesion. That to me points more to a coaching/management issue rather than leadership on the pitch.
There's no way the addition of Matty James suddenly turns us into a top 6 side.
I don't think we'd suddenly be a play off contender or Matty James would have even potentially been a regular starter, but just having an experienced head in and around the team and changing rooms would be really beneficial to the rest of the squad I think.
Wasn't it McFadzean a season or two ago that got the team together after a really poor run of games, and although we don't know what was said, you'd imagine it was an open conversation and it was a turning point of the season.
Can't see many within the current squad who would do that, but maybe I'm being unfair
