Can you say that again mate but in English this time? Seems like you may in fact have already been on the Special Brew.
I think the players know how to read a league table, they know things aren't fine.Let’s carry on letting them think everything is fine then.
They’ll probably get the next manager the sack as well but at least we’ll be “supporting the lads”
Maybe nobody else wanted Robins?
It works both ways.
She looks like a woman who’s easily pleased I’m not sure she’ll be fussyDo you think she'd be okay in the 4Ps or the Craven?
I was just replying to the point that because somebody hasn't worked that nobody wants them.At the time nobody probably did , but it's irrelevant now as he joined a pretty big football club dead on its feet with loads of potential and made them realise it for 7 years .
To do what mark robins did here is next to impossible for many a manager to achieve
DougDo you think it was getting to the point where it was going to happen either this season or next, imagine if we finished mid table and had the usual slow start next season , we’d be at the same point, maybe he’s pulled the trigger to quick maybe he’s got it spot on, your right though it’s his club and it looks like he’ll do what he thinks is right, if he gets it Right, genius, dread to think if it Goes the other way, lets just see what happens, he’s got some bollocks on him
He undermined Robins and set him up to fail.
He'll do the same to the next man if he takes the limelight off him.
Any c**t that's ever sang that pathetic song should be fucking ashamed,, fuckwits.
That Sky Blue shirt is what gets the love.An alternative perspective:
This is a great outcome for Mark. He leaves still a hero, the victim. He leaves with the crowd with him not against him. He leaves without it going horribly sour in the way most managers leave. He leaves with 2 years money and a great reputation in the EFL. Just like Eric Black he will forever be remembered as a manager with very few negative memories.
IF and it’s a big IF we find a manager that gets us promoted and we kick on again as a club then we as fans win too. If we get promoted and King sells the club to a much wealthier owner who keeps us as a Premier league club we win again.
Elite sport is about fine margins ….. remember that play off final. We didn’t turn up for 60 mins under Robins, the same in the Semi Final. They are two of my personal favourite recent moments with City but even during them they felt like they were turning sour for a long period.
I will be forever grateful to Mark, i have nothing but positive memories of him, but i‘M a Coventry City fan. The club will always come before any individual for me. Always has.
Not as easy at it looks is it! No but seriously losing 4-0 at home to Plymouth is not acceptable and we need to improve.
Careful , you will be labelledShe looks like a woman who’s easily pleased I’m not sure she’ll be fussy
Great insultI thought you were driving to Sunderland David. Please be safe and not use your phone while driving.
Great insult
If only actually being the driver of a car was the only way to travel.
Enjoy the Cov Cross mate

It's the same as when people go on about free transfer signings.
He has made as many play off finals as robins and managed 2 sides in the premier LeagueI cannot believe we are considering such an average manager to take forward Marks legacy with the club. I am sure some of the squad would fan boy over lampard but that is not what we need.
Lampard proved beyond all doubt (in my mind) during his second spell at Chelsea that is is not able to galvanize a team and gel them to preform as a cohesive unit.
We need an experienced manager who understands modern methods but has the backbone not to be Doug Kings yes man.
Moyes would be my choice if he would come. Doug I suspect will appoint someone who is grateful to be here and will provide him, the Ipad crew, and the Dr the lowest level of challenge possible.
Agreed. At the time nobody probably did , but it's irrelevant now as he joined a pretty big football club dead on its feet with loads of potential and made them realise it for 7 years .

Lampard no thanks ,not a fan of Moyes but he wouldn't come to us any way, he was on about large salary at West Ham one we could not afford.First time poster but long time reader on here.
I’m as gutted as everyone at the sacking of Robins purely because the sentiment involved made me (blindly) hope he would be the man that turned it around. However, I can understand the decision purely based on league results since the end of March.
In terms of Lampard, I would’ve preferred one of the innovative Scandinavian names we’ve seen mentioned but I haven’t seen anybody mention those leagues are coming to the end of the season so those managers wouldn’t be available until mid December at the earliest. I’ve voted yes because Lampard is a very intelligent guy, favours a formation that suits these players, I think he can improve this midfield and he’ll be desperate to improve his reputation after the Chelsea caretaker role.
Yep I’m the same. Would have only sacked Robins if we could get one of those unlikely picks of Moyes or Potter in.First time poster but long time reader on here.

Seems I haven't made it out of your head compoAre you nearly there or haven’t made it out of Gosford Park yet?
Agreed.
But it should be noted we don't need the next manager to perform those same miracles
That's what happens in football the manager pays the price. What else is going to happen you can't sack the players . I understand the frustration but some on here need a reality check .I don’t know. But he has paid the price for that whilst the players have got off Scot free
My concern nick mate seriously is that fans have had it so good over the last 7 and a half years that actually as supporters we might find ourselves in situation where nothing will make us happy other than promotion to the Premier league from this point on .
Which is an incredibly difficult task to achieve for any manager
Agreed.

Why not , most foreign managers coming in can adapt quickly and usually have a knowledge of English football at PL or Championship level.Yep I’m the same. Would have only sacked Robins if we could get one of those unlikely picks of Moyes or Potter in.
An overseas appointment is not the right move to make mid season with the current batch of players.
Sure , but come the first bad patch (which happens under all managers ) will supporters be demanding change againWe’ve had three consecutive seasons of flirting or being in the playoffs.
It’s not an unreasonable expectation for that to continue
You can cherry pick any manager's record like that. Robins got us to the play offs with 3-4 loan players in the team. So, having done the research, I think it pans out as this...
Lampard had one season at Derby. Whilst there he relied on key loan players, and also had a run of 13 games with only three wins.
How this fits trigger man Doug's new style of immediate success (but no loans) isn't quite clear to me, but he would be a "big name" to show off to his mates, I suppose...
It’s content like this that makes me appreciate social media

I think the point duffer is making is would doug accept a bad run againYou can cherry pick any manager's record like that. Robins got us to the play offs with 3-4 loan players in the team.

I agrees this all scans...so why did Doug gave him a 4 year contract in May '23?Of course Robins shoulders some responsibility for results. And they've given King the excuse he's been looking for.
But there was clearly a process being put in place to undermine him.
I think Moyes and Potter would be completely unrealistic. I’m surprised at the timing with the rest of November being tougher fixtures that Robins tended to relish. Where the fixtures look “easier”, they’re the type of games I wouldn’t back us to get 3 points as we can’t break those teams down, for me that has to be down to tactics and we never seemed to take any risks. With the increase in spending, I have to question if Robins knows how to get the best out of those players in these kind of games, it’s the first time in his career that he’s experienced thatYep I’m the same. Would have only sacked Robins if we could get one of those unlikely picks of Moyes or Potter in.

Agree. Getting to the stage where will be disappointed if its not Frank Lampard.First time poster but long time reader on here.

You simply can not dispute his football pedigree.
