If the football was the same, Lampard would attract more from the media and the average fan

What a weird thing to say, that’s just rubbish 😁

It’s not even about the football- let’s be honest, under Robins we weren’t exactly playing total football. Winning is what gets the fans and the media interested. We need to get the guy who gets us winning, not the guy who will attract the most TV crews around the dugout before kickoff.

it’s not gonna be him, that’s fine- I guess I’m just surprised how people have now decided that we need the biggest name possible as opposed to the best man for the job. It’s embarrassing really.

You’ve totally missed my point and it’s not surprising as you usually get total tunnel vision when arguing with people and that’s often why you are mocked on here

Take a look at the respective league tables and try that again.

just own it- he’s not a big enough name for you.
Take the names out of it.

One manager linked has a championship playoff appearance, top 4 prem finish and champions league experience on his CV.

The other has won the national league and finished 3rd in league two. And won the EFL trophy.

Regardless of names can’t you see one is more exciting than the other?

Points fair and if both would do exactly the same on the pitch, then Lampard would give the club more publicity but managers aren’t a 1 for 1.

Just think Evatt would be a better fit over the two and in the long run would give the club more stability

I'm surprised so many are overlooking his record tbh

Either way , it's not going to be evatt so there's little point debating it

He looks to be suffering this season with cheap goals being conceded, which naturally if you are trying to implement an almost ‘tiki taka’ style in L1 will be used as a stick to beat him with.

Their XG Against is 14.9 and they’ve conceded 24 goals. It’s a bit of misfortune. Wouldn’t be my pick but he’s not exactly hopeless.

Depends on the person.

Not generally sure due to the dread Lampard seems to give some people (completely unfair for me). But I get your point, just for me it’s Evatt.

I don’t care about being excited at the name, I think that’s ridiculous, I want the best man for the job.

With far more resources than we have here.

Autos would’ve been impressive. He missed out and would almost certainly have been sacked if they failed to win the playoffs.
Fair enough, but the point I’m making is that there are gems to be had in the lower leagues.

While I have very mixed feelings on him, Rob Edward’s was at Forest green the year before he got Luton to the prem.

Covering your bets there 😉
😉
Im pretty sure he claimed to be ITK and said there no pressure on Robins…then he got sacked.
See this is the problem, people are told things then just make stuff up, I’ve never claimed to be in the know, I said word for word what robins told us, I think it’s safe to say he didn’t know he was getting the sack just after we’d beat Luton 😂 its up to you if you believe it or not, doesn’t really bother me, 👍

Was thinking that when I saw the post. Robins wouldn’t know he was getting sacked, and based on the player reactions doesn’t seem like it was on anyone’s mind but Doug.

On that Doug even said it was a shot in the arm to try and get everyone moving. ITKs can’t get everything right as shit that was suddenly changes. Quinn if you could say Ian Evatt was the new manager, I’d be very happy.

yeah with the team he has, if he wasn't from people wouldn't give a toss
Won’t lie but the fact he’s from Cov is a cherry on top for me.

50% over three years winning rate is immense. Almost got them from league two to the championship if the play off went better for them.

To be honest the big interest is how full on the identity of football is that he played tika taka esc football in the national league and got a team promoted with no where near the high budget that others teams had.

Think the next coach needs to install a playing identity that we can train throughout the club and think he could do this

and if he’s not ? 😂 genuinely though, he’s not heard anything different, I’d believe him more than some random Man Utd fan on twitter trying to get his account more views,
You did same sheaf refused to play though right? Not having a go just determining how reliable your source is

Well if there's any truth in the rumours that Robins had an assistant lined up around the October international break and then the plug was pulled he would have had an idea that the writing was on the wall.

Would also explain his out of character behaviour after the Preston game around that time, he must have felt under more pressure than usual.
