I would if Maldini and Cafu kept getting trapped high up the pitch, giving the ball away and not stopping a fucking cross coming into the box.

I see ur point, but our centre backs just are not good enough

Really poor today, that second half was the worst I've seen us play at home this season I think.

Not sure if Collins had any chance for either goal from where i was sitting, but he looks so nervous at times. Cardiff knew they could shoot from distance and we'd be under pressure.

Very few positives. Thought Simms looked okay, and was more suited to occupying three of their defenders at once than Bassette. Good goal from EMC as well.

Think we need to go back to Kitching and Thomas as the CB pairing

Overall poor defensively and slow predictable attacking

Binks and Thomas are left woefully exposed by their fullbacks, consistently. That is our problem at the back, rather than the centre halves themselves.

Spot on and they're also getting no protection from the DMs in front of them.
They're exposed from all directions as soon as the opposition attack.

He has a nice left foot on him and that seems to fool many. Doesn’t communicate and was bullied today. Shite. Nowhere near good enough.

Binks has one trick, to hit the ball as hard as he can, usually to no one.

MVE was dreadful, what has happened to him?
He has nothing in front of him. First half his only outlet was Saka.
Rudoni has nothing in the #10 position and kills a lot of our forward momentum and EMC, when on the right in front of him in the 2nd half kept running away and cutting off any potential passing exchange that could take place.

I can't agree with some of your extreme low marks, but glad to see you've recognised the contribution from EMC. He's a good player and I really don't understand some of the harsh criticism he's been getting.
He's been good when he came on last couple of games too. Biggest issue is his best position is left of a front 3 which is the same as Wright. I really like both and would ideally like them both in, but playing players in their proper position is half the battle and why EMC looked better since Hajis injury.

I thought he was pretty average apart from the goal (as we're most of the team) but happy he finally got off the mark.

Sheaf is piss poor. Overrated garbage. If we can get any money for him then I'd gladly see the back of him. Eccles is twice the player.
What a load of rubbish you talk Eccles not fit to lace sheafs boots.he’s slow has no idea how to pass and move just throws his arms around all game and committing silly fouls. He will get found out by lampard and hopefully dumped from the team he’s one of the main reasons the midfield are struggling

he did nothing outside the goal.
3 excellent crosses in the first half and was effective I'm the second with a couple of nice tricks until he had to switch wings when BTA came on and then his game petered out.

Why does it have to be either or? I disagree strongly with Torch on Sheaf, but if you think Eccles has been poor this season I don't know what to say. He's been far our most consistent player and improved massively the past season.

I cannot believe how poorly we played, no energy listless going forward, shaky at the back. As a team performance it was painful allover the pitch

Load up the turd reactions.

But Sakamoto is a one trick pony bag of shite. Absolute fanny.

Consistently out of position. Panics unless he’s got 5 seconds to get the ball under control to do his little trick, and if the time isn’t there feeds the ball back into whoever passed it to him leaving them in trouble.
Never know if you're being serious

That’s my worry with Simms. Imagine being a striker who’s just won a penalty and then let’s someone else take it. That’s what sets players like Gyokeres apart, he’s grabbing that ball and there is no one that can stop him. Simms needs some of that attitude.
To be absolutely brutally fair I wouldn't put money on him hitting the target

Rudoni 7 is absolutely mental. Game of opinions I know but thought he was terrible.

Doesn’t offer enough and seems to just stand in positions he can’t get the ball. We need three in the middle to protect our abysmal defence - Rudoni is a passenger at times.
He was decent first half and picked up some great positions in between their midfield and defence. Second half he hid on the left and did nothing.

Thoroughly atrocious performance. Another Saturday afternoon to question my sanity. All of the starting XI way off the standard required for Championship football, against a poor Cardiff side but at least they had some fight about them.

We were One paced, no movement/creativity. 62% possession acc to BBC stats!, a fair chunk it simply passing between the CB’s or backwards.

Can’t really be arsed to rate them but:
Keeper and back four no more than 2, apart from Thomas who was a 4 for me.

Their No 3 bossed the midfield; Rudoni did ok first half, surprised Eccles came out for the second half, Sheaf way off it all game.

Bassette started slowly but got into the game; EMC the only one with pace, spark and energy and took his goal well, my MOM, Saka awful other than the assist for the EMC goal.

Torp took the pen well, thought BTA was ok, Simms didn’t really impose himself.

Crowd really flat all game.

Lampard has got a tough gig on his hands based on today and Burnley.
