I don’t agree with this- not everyone did. It’s more that someone starts shouting and going mad saying “he’s garbage”, “he’s L2 level”, “nobody else would sign him”, then that becomes the accepted wisdom on here and everyone piles on because it’s the cool thing to say. Like Simms last season, and like now with it now becoming cool to paint Robins as worse than he was, make out that we spent £45m with nothing coming back in, and going around shouting that we’re in a relegation battle in November.

It’s now just about ‘instant success’, ‘entertain me’- and if that doesn’t happen then we scream and shout, calling everyone shit & demand sackings and that players are binned off.

You can argue that most football fans are like that, but we didn’t use to be and it’s sad to see we’re now just like the rest.
It's not unreasonable to expect that after spending that amount performances should be way better than they have been. With no improvement there is no doubt that we will be in a relegation battle. There were no signs latterly under MR that anything was improving

Talking about the Kelly situation in isolation without going into the rest of it, its pretty clear most didn't recognise the loss, even the management lets be honest. Not even saying we should have kept him, you don't keep someone on a contract just because they are a good character if they are past it... but clearly more thought should have been put into replacing the voice/character part of Kelly, Fadz and co...

It does seem strange that the management have lost sight of experience within the squad over the last couple of years when going back to the League 2 season we've had those big voices making a difference. Seems weird that that has been lost over the last 18 months and the focus seems to be purely on potential

You say this, yet still 90% of posters on here did not want MR sacked and that seems to be reflected among the wider fan base.

If we’re sacking managers after a performance like Derby alone I await the new manager odds with interest.
Of course it was solely the Derby performance. Nothing to do with the games that preceded it over a timespan of months .

Before the Derby game we were one of the form teams. We’d won 3 drawn 1 from the last 6, 10 points.

Airbrushing the game is ridiculous. Include the game and its 7 points from 6 games and a consistent tally with the season as a whole.

I'd like to point out that not everyone who thought Robins needed moving on thinks we've wasted £45 million on players, in fact that is a view often held by what seems to be the 'other camp'. There are of course those who think absolutely everything is wrong, that's not a view i'm on board with. Bit of time for the new management and an opportunity to straighten out the squad slightly over the next window or 2 and i think we'll be a force again. This is my hope anyway.

Yeah, would agree with that and we have to give Lampard time now.

I personally don't think we have wasted all that money.

We haven't, a waste would suggest we'd get nothing back from it and that's simply not true. It's just a bit unbalanced.

I think there’s big problems with these players and frankly I’ve got no trust in them as a group.

The defence is alarmingly bad and i think its affecting the rest of the team in a big way. Needs sorting out for sure.
I can accept the information overload explaining some of the problems on Saturday, but that still doesn’t account for yet again conceding a free header from 6 yards at a corner.

At least it confirms to me that Dovin should reclaim his spot next game. That guy has already been seriously messed around for someone we invested a fair chunk of money in.

Dovin needs to go in and stay in, even if he's mediocre he's beating out the other 2 so just stick with him ffs.

I’d be fuming if I was Dovin tbh. He has been treated pretty badly so far, pretty shocking way to handle a multi million pound investment.

And it's not just the defenders contributing to how bad we are defensively.
Well no its not but they are so bad the jitters spread throughout the team. I can't name a single defender who i think has been good this season. It's not just them, i mean Sheaf for example has been well below par this season, buts its a real poor show from them. Add in the messing about with keepers too and its all a bit of a mess.

The defenders have been poor, no doubt, but our midfield aren't really helping.
If you wrapped Sheaf in sirloin steak and threw him in a tiger enclosure he wouldn't sense the danger.

You have tried to airbrush those who have signed and sanctioned the players coming in. You tried to make out they were the choice of Robins although offering no evidence.

You agree the squad isn't good enough. Seems to me like those who wanted rid of Robins are trying to change history.

Or would you like to explain the role of Austin because I have already shown you where Robins wasn't happy that he couldn't bring in the players he wanted.
