Some of tge comments on here are laughable. Yes agree that JDS & Collins are shit as is Binks but all the players FL has at his disposal are those signings approved by Robins.,Rome wasn't built in a day and all of these plus those that aren't being selected have fucked up . Dovin Bidwell & Kitching are the less shit alternatives
Norman isn't the answer either FWIW

His alternatives are limited. And who knows what the score is with Kitching

He could play Dovin in goal.

In fact he could play an extra striker and just not have a keeper at all and we'd probably be better off.

Kitching I think will come in next game

I'm not being argumentative but why was that on King ? Do you know for a fact that Robins had nothing to fo with them leaving? He did with Adi so why not them also ?

I can't say for certain it was on King
But, I find it hard to believe that Robins decided to rid the squad of experience when he'd used experience players all throughout his tenure and there's Saddlebrains take on the Matty James sage, and his information is usually quite reliable.

The 11 players that played the most league minutes last season are all still with us. 90% of the squad is the same as last season. We finished 9th.

I don’t remember you ever absolving tactics when we lost by saying it was nothing to do with tactics and solely because of the players. I’m just pointing out the most blatant piece of hypocrisy on this platform and that’s saying something for this place.
Yes, but our end of season league form was very poor. This current team were showing their frailties then.

I keep saying it ad nauseum but for 3 months Robins had this set of players in promotion form and on the verge of anFA Cup final.
King said they're top 6, something doesn't add up.

I’m sorry - I enjoyed the days out as much as anyone, but winning those four games does not tell you anything meaningful about the quality of the side we have today.

OK. So what about the run from December to the semi final, basically the same squad, which is top 6 according to King.
Somethings not right.

It was a purple patch in a very underwhelming season - we finished nine points off the playoffs, we were miles off it.

Who cares what Doug King thinks of the deck? I’ve had sausages in the freezer for longer than he’s been watching football.

In my mind the missing bits are both of Lawrence & Adi. One third of the previous set up didn't work at all. Robins didn't have them in that form , the 3 of them did together. It seems with the defensive players they significantly over performed and in my mind that was down to Lawrence on all available evidence not Robins

I'm absolutely positive you said differently about England's routes to the euro final etc , and how it reflected on Gareth southgate , atleast robins beat a side ranked above us in the fa cup 😉

Our starting 11 today had fuck all to do with last years starting line ups.

No Wilson
No Wright
No O'hare
No Palmer
No kitching
No Bidwell
No Simms
No Eccles

You can't compare today's team to any from last season.

A 3 and a half month purple patch that saw us a toenail away from an FA,cup final :ROFLMAO:

And if someone says something to the local media its gospel.......I didn't make the rules

Only 3 of the players that started today weren't here last season playing games

England’s easy routes in knockout tournaments came because we won a lot of games. Coventry’s easy route came because someone picked out Maidstone and Oxford out of a bowl instead of Man City and Arsenal.

I shall ofcourse remind you the next time we get knocked out by a small team that really we should be reaching fa cup quarters and beyond more often

That period is becoming ever smaller as weeks go on.

Does anyone have a breakdown of our league results since August 2023?

But 8 who were available last season didn't start today.

It's all pointless now, but I'd of made 6 changes from today's starting 11. (7 if Wright was fit)
Point is whatever variation of the side is used most of these players were here in the squad last season..that's factual isn't it ?

I don’t really care that much about the FA Cup in all honesty. Fun last season but what have we got to show for it today? Fuck all.

Well if you used your head mate that would be the league table from last season and the 22 games from this season

It is, but they weren't (mainly) first choice last season. Kitching, Bidwell, Eccles and Simms would of started last season.

My point is we appear to be playing too many of last seasons second 11.
