He guided sheffield united to 9th In the prem 4 seasons ago ?
Since then he guided them to two record breakingly bad seasons in the Prem, failed at Boro and was quickly sacked by Watford. He's lucky to have Hamer in the side this season else they'd be nowhere near.

Simms and Cannon are too different IMO. Think Simms offers more in build up and general play, perhaps Cannon better finisher. But hypothetically if there was a straight swap deal on the table I’m not sure I’d take it.

One thing though, bringing another player into the convo. If Cannon goes for £10m, CCFC shouldn’t entertain anything less than £30m for Haji Wright. Seriously.

They've played 2 games without hamer , won 1 lost 1 .

Either way this shows he's clearly had a decent managerial career

Come on a bit silly that , 29 mill

I think honestly we'd be a better team with Simms in the side rather than Cannon. We don't have the team to make up for the lack of general play ability where as Sheffield United and Sunderland clearly thought they did and do.

Why do people pretend penalties don't count ?

Either way who actually cares , I just gave my opinion and it might be right it might be wrong 🙃

It’s not so much that penalties ‘don’t count’ but that it skews the goals figure if you’re comparing a penalty taker vs a non-penalty taker. Also theoretically Cannon may have been stood in the centre circle when each penalty was awarded so hasn’t done anything to contribute to the chance.

I do like Cannon, though. Wouldn’t pay £10m for him but definitely a good player and as long as he’s in a team creating chances he’ll get goals.

I think if you put cannon and Simms infront of goal with just the keeper to beat and said score .. cannon scores more often than Simms and that's all I'm saying .

Either way it's not a big deal

That's football ,.all teams have a bad day or 2

Yeah, but
Hull have made good signings!!!
thats not the point I was making.
We, as fans see some signings other clubs make and feel it’s brilliant and we should have done that but ‘names’ signings doesn’t guarantee success.

FL creates a style, we need players to fit into it.

I know wilder has had success and they’ll probably get out of the league this year but he signs players like a scatter gun and like we would on football manager

Yeah I’d probably agree with that. Simms I’d say is a bang average finisher (that’s not a bad indictment) whereas Cannon is slightly above average.

Do you think Simms is worth 3.5m?

Do you think Cannon is worth 10m?

I think cannon is slightly overpriced sure

Not even sure what simms would fetch tbh

I don’t think any player in world football is worth what clubs pay including salaries and bonuses.

Hearing Ronaldo will move onto £3M a week is wrong

If he made use of the strong attributes he has he could easily go for a similar fee to Cannon or more. The issue is we just don't see that often enough

He's objectively a good manager, I am not sure what the problem people have with him is. What he did with Sheffield Utd in his first spell was brilliant really.

Last three I think he’s really been showing his potential more TBH. It’s a matter of doing that every week and not in fits and starts.

Not all players have the physique Simms has
No I mean if they used their attributes more often they'd be better basically .. it's the same for many footballers .

I like simms but I think he's underperformed alot here and for what we pay him I'd like to see what he can do more often

We can't wait half a season every season for him to start playing well
