I didn't, he gave it away 12 times that point was made earlier in the thread , he had a higher pass completion rate than Simms yesterday

You’d fucking hope so considering he’s a CB mostly playing short passes under no pressure.

Thomas had a 75% pass completion rate but attempted 15-20 more passes than the other 2 centre halves .

His season total is about 81%

Can you see the number of long passes from each? Got a theory he clears/sends it long more than the others. Possibly by instruction.

He makes 8.8 long passes per 90 compared to lati 5.6 and kitching 6.8

Binks is the highest with over 10

Surprised at the comments on BTA. He had ANOTHER good game in which he scored and provided an assist. I don’t think he’s an amazing player but he’s a little different and at the moment, it’s working.

He is constantly trying to get an early shot off, causing chaos with his running; midfielders and CB’s don’t have time to relax. He often loses the ball if he’s trying to do one touch stuff / play too fast and I don’t think he’s great at that, but it makes him hard to defend against.

And assisted another , and worked tirelessly to force errors

He was our highest rated player yesterday on all the sites I've seen

I was really happy BTA got a goal and assist yesterday, there were some right idiots behind me calling him shit constantly through the game.

Our MOTM, imo was Rudoni but BTA’s goal and assist isn’t to be underestimated.

It’s only Norwich away where he missed a huge change. Other than that, there haven’t been many big chances missed.

Bassette and Simms have missed more chances. BTA has probably played less minutes overall and particularly less minutes as a striker.

There was a chance yesterday where the ball went slightly behind him and he tried to backheel it in and I thought he did the right thing but he got some pelters on here I saw later ..

Btw , I couldn't tell behind the goal did the keeper save that rudoni chance from point blank range

The second chance he had?

The defender deflected it over, I think. Hard to say if the keeper had it covered.

Yeah felt like Rudoni did the right thing going for the far corner and it was just a good save. If I was nit picking he could have aimed for inside the far post, but bloody hell id have smashed that clean over the bar.

Thought that was more Rudoni’s miss if anything. In reality, it was some good defending and goalkeeping from Swansea.

That all said, I’ve not watched the replays of anything other than the goals.

Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard:

"It was an instinctive goal and probably nobody else in the stadium thought he would take it on. But he took it on and the quality of his technique and execution made it a very special goal. He deserves to have a big smile on his face after that."

...And so should all of us!!!

BTA scored an absolute beauty today, fair play to the guy it was a fantastic goal that won us the game.
But let's not kid ourselves, there's still a lot for him to work on, his hold up play needs to improve, and he's still guilty of giving the ball away far too often.
He is improving, and his work rate can't be faulted, but the quality in possession needs to improve. If he can do that he'll be a real asset.
If he calmed himself down rather than being like a whirling dervish he would hold the ball better when in tight spots

How shy is Ellis Simms! He really didn’t want to do the thing at the end of the match…and kinda had to when he came and gave his shirt to the lad.
