To be honest just hoping Darling doesn’t move on as think we’d have a good chance of signing him in the summer

Way too late for this to be true imo. So much to sort at way too sort notice.

Maybe Jimmy can confirm but sounds to me reading inbetween the lines that the RB wasn’t interested in the end.
I agree it’s a lot to happen right at the end of the window.

Maybe the RB thought he was coming as cover for MvE?
Being the main man may be different.

Happy when it's done and we can see what every team is working with until the end of the season.

Boro flogging Latte Lath for 22.5 million and getting Iheanacho on loan from Sevilla is easily the best bit of business in Jan so far
Not so sure on the Iheanacho part. He hasn't done much in years. Scored 5 goals for Leicester at this level. Great fee for Latte Lath. Whittaker coming in is good business and Boro generally do spend money pretty well.

Not sure... selling your top striker at this stage of the season when you're involved in an incredibly tight playoff push is a hell of a risk. Iheanacho obviously has talent but is an enigma, not someone I'd be confident in relying on.

I’m told he’s arriving on Monday from same person who told me Matondo’s deal collapsed before the media said it, Carr had left a few hours before it was announced and Tavares had gone to Burton a day before that was announced. If it doesn’t happen then apologies but I’m very confident with what I’ve been told
Heard Anymore on this? I'd have thought another CDM would be the least of our worries until the summer. How confident in this are you? I would personally get a Right sided player in rather than another Central midfielder.

Nope, not expecting to hear anything else. Would imagine the media should pick up on it later today or tomorrow. As I said I was told the Tavares to Burton, Carr sacked and Matondo deal off before it was anywhere else. I’m confident it’s happening

Okay well I'm excited, maybe Eccles will go out in loan or a Perm to fund this, otherwise doesn't make sense. Josh maybe disheartened and unhappy with lack of game time, clear that Frank trusts Torp and Allen more.

Such a confusing signing, not even going to be a loan back situation. This is where King lets himself down sometimes. Surely Lampard doesn’t want yet another DM.

If this does happen, I would like Eccles to be switched to RB/RWB.

We really don’t need Paterson
To be fair I’d have a play around with the current 5-3-3 and 4-3-3. We have one DM and two more attacking 8s.

As such excluding Eccles we would have

DM - Grimes, Sheaf, Allen
CM - Torp, Rudoni, Allen.

Personally think Grimes will play the holding role and wouldn’t want him as a 8 as that’s where I’ve seen him do his work at Swansea.

Think This means if Tahirovic comes in we would see the return of the double pivot with Grimes and Sheaf with Allen and Tahirovic backing up.

If such wouldn’t need Paterson as would have two tens to play that role but if we played two 8s would be a bit light unless we push Sheaf or Grimes there

If Patterson is content to play second fiddle to Rudoni and is relatively cheap then it seems a sensible option considering Lampard has seen him up close for the past 4 weeks. Now Torp is playing deeper and excelling we are short in that area

It would suggest sheaf is defo gone in the summer though

Won't be missed spent too much time, injured.
