To this day, the head loss over Hamer getting clapped before taking a corner is mental. It’s not like the applause gave him magical powers or anything.

I mean we clap Eccles every time…

Haji will be roughed up by the Sheff U CB's. Wilder will make sure of that. Danger man. Haji seems to know how to look after himself though, and his lesser performances are not based on defenders intimidating him from what I've seen.

Over to you Mason- Clark and Sakamoto, while they concentrate on Haji it will leave space for others.

Rudoni on the bench? He’s in the training photos could be a bit early yet though
Rudoni might just be doing a bit of running. Sheaf however was pictured kicking a round thing that I believe is a football.

I have never been a Dasilva fan since he joined. Terribly frail defensively and not much better going forward.

In recent games he has been good. Still poor defensively but shown more determination. Going forward he has seemed more positive.

If he starts Friday against Sheffield United, I will still have concerns, but I won't groan

Da Silva deserves to start

He does deserve to start on his last performance, but for this particular match Bidwell is probably a better option, especially as Dasilva has been away with Wales and missed much of our prep for the match. Wilder is the sort of manager who would definitely look to target Dasilva. If Lampard does opt for Dasilva however, I hope that if it looks like he is struggling we don't wait until its too late before making a change.

Left back is our weakest position and most teams know that. Thankfully we’re in good nick elsewhere and can absorb that one weakness.

The Hamer corner applause was embarrassing. Especially compared to the booing of COH.

Either ignore them both or boo them both.

Both played a big role in our “journey”, and were deservedly fan favourites. Both reportedly led us on and both ended up with a desperation move as their ambitions didn’t match reality.

I remember thinking Hamer’s leaving video was massively false at the time too.

Can’t wait for us get promoted, Sheff U to not, and the subsequent ‘bring him home’ social media campaign for Gus.

I think it’ll be a cracker of a game too. If we play anything like against Sunderland we have a chance of all three points.

Sakamoto will have Burrows beaten and Wright will be too much for their donkey centre backs.

Choudhury is an animal and a limited footballer, shame Rudoni isn’t 100%.

They obviously have lots of attacking talent but so do we.

Play on the front foot and we win.
