Lets face it if they do open part of the normal away allocation those who buy tickets fr that area will not be die hard supporters so will not react to anything like singers corner would.

Pity not to have every seat taken, but parking and transport is going to be a nightmare. I have found that on night games everyone arrives roughly at same time. Am excited about this game even if some are classing it as a tin pot trophy, remember what Southampton said "it started with the JPT" and that's what it says on the trophy in there cabinet.

In terms of the game your right that the rest of the ground will be making the atmosphere. However it would have been nice to break Southamptons record attendance. Also it raises serious questions about the location of away fans. If the away area is so inflexible then it needs to be moved.

I agree, in this league they only need a small corner, it's not like they are playing US every week where we normally sell over our allocation. Not sure who has brought most fans to us this season but would never need more than a 2k area.

If they stop selling once block 10 is gone then it does raise questions. All other clubs who have similar set ups to us (think Derby, Middlesbrough, Sunderland etc) are completely flexible in how many they allocate to away fans and can go from hundreds up to 5000+. Southamption last game of last season gave us 1800 and shoved us in the corner, despite the fact they normally give half the stand to away fans. They did it because there was demand. If we don't do the same then it only confirms that his club is run by idiots. Hopefully they will prove me wrong!

well there is only about 15 mins till we run out of tickets by the looks of it, so I guess we are about to find out if the club has worked out a solution. I hope so but I'm not confident

I can give them a solution right now. Re-issue all Crewe tickets as unreserved seating, shove them into blocks 6 & 7, get ACL to ring a roller door installer and put a divide in under blocks 7 & 8. Problem solved.

Coundonskyblue.
Sounds easy, would solve all the problems.
However, even that amount of tickets would be more than they want/need.

I'm surprised by how quick block 10 has sold. I thought by now the rate at which they were being sold would have slowed down, but if anything its speeding up.

I think the club might just be opening it up in sections to stop people buying tickets all over the ground and leaving single seats. I did see something on Twitter the other day where the club were asking fans not to leave odd seats.

Do we have any further info about whether they will open up the rest of block 10, or more? If not, what do we think the overall attendance will be if Crewe bring 1K? 30,000, ie 2,000 empty seats in the Crewe end? If so, it seems such a waste.
I believe they have 4000 seats but we might get some back to sell on. Trouble is they cant predict accurately the Crewe turn out because of the cash on the gate.

Was in the TO just getting Sheff U ticket, and there was a big queue. One member of staff was flapping that they might sell out but then they got the nod to open rest of 10. They said they are going to try and go as far over as possible, but there are a few things to sort out first.

I think its time the club made it an all ticket fixture for away fans, with a cut off date for Crewe fans to buys their tickets by 10 am Monday 4th Feb. CCFC then can work out numbers to enable them to push the away supporters into 6 & 7 enabling City to open up Block 9 to home fans !

In theory we should already be able to get half of block 9. If we now have all of 10 then the most Crewe can have is half of 9.

Surely they won't have cash turnstiles, the away end will be half full of City fans at this rate.

Lets push the Crewe fans as far as we can in the corner or, lets flank them with more CCFC fans in the blocks, we want the Crewe fans as tightly packed as possible because they will produce a better atmosphere, also, we need to get as many CCFC in as possible.

We could have all block 9 and half of eight, segregation down the middle of block 8.

Someone should pop to crewe and buy up all the remaining tickets for the 1st leg!!

Almsost 27,000 sold now according to the club website :) Would be awesome to beat the record but just would love an entertaining fixture on the night, with the score ending up 3-0 to the Sky Blues!!! PUSB!!

I think we will beat the record and hopefully the buzz around the place is matched with a win.

Just back from ticket office and plenty left in Block 10 when I left. No decision on if Block 9 will be sold. Doing good trade full queue but not out of the door. Good steady business. Should be good! PUSB

I know we can do it! 27,000 of the Sky Blue Army going wild at a JPT game who would have thought it?

I was at the ticket office this morning, a meeting is taking place today, with the Club, Police and Safety Officer about which remaining blocks if any, will be sold, so I would expect some news one way or the other today.
Constant queue of around 15 while I was there, including one guy hoping to buy 18 tickets, I expect we will sell out today.
