JoyDivision, I don't post much. Have a look at my other comments on this topic. All the time I'm calling for the stayaway fans to support their team. They don't. Sick to death of people coming up with reasons why not - and then telling everybody what loyal supporters they are - while sat at home. Fans who watch the game on Sky - the CitytilIfeellikeachange posters on here. And then criticising the club for not doing this, not doing that. The sick notes could make such a difference. Support should be unconditional. My mantra is always - more fans - more money - better players - better team. To coin a phrase you'll probably be familiar with 'Sky Blue love won't tear them apart.'
As I said, naff fans, but wish they were here.
Neither do I. You're still a prize prat. Obnoxious to everyone. And it seems not much of a supporter either.
Probably closer to 14kIf Swindon bring 3k our 'bumper' crowd will be about 12.5k
The reason we have good away form is because when teams play at home they want to put on a show. Home fans wont pay to see 11 men behind the ball hoping for a counter attack, they want aggressive, attacking football and we're good at picking that apart. When teams only bring a handful of fans to the Ricoh, they can get away with this defensive play and steal a win (i.e Crewe, Yeovil, most recently)
So maybe we should do the opposite, and put 11 men behind the ball on focus on counter attacks when we're at home. Use the fact we're having a slump in ticket sales to concentrate on home form. It may not be pretty, it may be horrific to those who watch, but it might start bringing in results and then it'll start bringing in fans.
