If Swindon are bringing 3000... (7 Viewers)

Neither do I. You're still a prize prat. Obnoxious to everyone. And it seems not much of a supporter either.

JoyDivision, I don't post much. Have a look at my other comments on this topic. All the time I'm calling for the stayaway fans to support their team. They don't. Sick to death of people coming up with reasons why not - and then telling everybody what loyal supporters they are - while sat at home. Fans who watch the game on Sky - the CitytilIfeellikeachange posters on here. And then criticising the club for not doing this, not doing that. The sick notes could make such a difference. Support should be unconditional. My mantra is always - more fans - more money - better players - better team. To coin a phrase you'll probably be familiar with 'Sky Blue love won't tear them apart.'
As I said, naff fans, but wish they were here.

Fair play to you if you are often encouraging fans to attend games, and my previous comment was in reaction to city fans in general who critisise those who don't attend games as regular as other supporters, so apologies if it felt like it was directed solely at you.

I think those people critisising fellow supporters must also take into account how many of those have followed the club, spent thousands of pounds and dedicated a tremendous amount of time to following the team over a number of years who perhaps maybe feel like they want to pick and choose games a little more this season. I think they have every right to do so, and without moaning to everyone else about where the hell they were at Hull City on 28th January 2008.

Mellow out everyone. There is more to life than arguing over something you can't change.

There are many things keeping fans away. Finances, Div 3 football, owned by SISU, mid table position, shit home results, crap atmosphere at home games and even better things to do. Being foul mouthed about fans that don't go these days won't bring them back. Better results and a hope of success would be a good start though.

I'm a super fan, I've just totted it up 27 games in total so far, 21 home games and 6 away inc. the two friendlies at Hinckley and Bristol Rovers. Not to mention all the tickets I've bought for the wife and kids this term. Do I get a Gold star Snozzy ??!

The reason we have good away form is because when teams play at home they want to put on a show. Home fans wont pay to see 11 men behind the ball hoping for a counter attack, they want aggressive, attacking football and we're good at picking that apart. When teams only bring a handful of fans to the Ricoh, they can get away with this defensive play and steal a win (i.e Crewe, Yeovil, most recently)

So maybe we should do the opposite, and put 11 men behind the ball on focus on counter attacks when we're at home. Use the fact we're having a slump in ticket sales to concentrate on home form. It may not be pretty, it may be horrific to those who watch, but it might start bringing in results and then it'll start bringing in fans.

I agree completely. Most goals we concede at home are breakaway goals.

From Swindon perspective we are the nearest club in the north direction. We had 5k at MK which is 50% of home support so 3k is plausable
