When I quoted a half share to be £10m. I was shouted down about not having proof, and was told it was more like £6m.
Yet! guess who "Liked" your £15m quote.....1 third of Curly, Larry, and Mo.

Soo I know Torchy will be beggin for the answer to this.....

Which third is he Curly, Larry or Mo?

I know OSB58 has given the link earlier in this thread, however I feel the 8 minute interview with TF is essential listening for all of us:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p014rksd

Listen from 2 hrs 10 mins until 2 hrs 18 mins.

Fisher claims that CCFC have paid £800k of the £1.2m rent, conveniently forgetting that £500k came from the ESCROW a/c which was never CCFC's money in the first place.

Some good questions from O'Connor.

Conjures up a mental image of Fisher with a fish tail squirming as he's hooked by an ACL fisherman's rod.....

I'm sure he didn't forget, he is just trying to mislead the listners.

ACL have stated that they wanted to go 'open book' on all revenues; so be careful with regards what is being claimed about visibility. They also claim they wanted to minute and publish the most recent meetings with SISU's representatives for the purposes of clarity - which would prevent the misuse of claims such as this - but were prevented from doing so by legal sanction.

Fisher claimed again on the radio today that they are paying 'rent' and have 'paid £800K since last spring'. Listen to it. The claim is clearly made.

Note: he doesn't bear reference to match-day costs, he clearly states 'rent'

I won't hunt down the clip as I think that stabbing my own Japseye with a dagger would give me more pleasure, but....did he really claim that again? Surely even his best buddies can see that this is a lie?!?

I'm so MAD at SISU right now that I'm going to write it on here for all to see!!! DAMN YOU SISU!!! DAMN YOU!!!

That should put a rat amongst the pigeons!

Careful, Brian, you'll end up crucified..;)

Yes he did.

He also claimed that the auditors had praised him on doing a fine job on turning the clubs finances around.

Yes he did indeed claim that they had paid £800k rent, as well as blaming virtually everything on external pressures.

He also claimed that he'd put the CCFC financial house in order, while at the same time claiming that the wage bill was too high for FFP and that insolvency could happen in 6 or 12 months.

Worth a listen, NLHWC - he sounds increasingly desperate as the interview progresses.

Yeah, I noticed that. He also said club would be under embargo next season because wage bill would exceed FFP limits, how that squares with finances being under control I don't know.

Shane O'Connor actually did a really good interview on him.
Just wish he'd challenged the rent claim.

It's just too bleak and depressing. Last time I heard his bull-crap the radio almost went out of the window, and I'm not prepared to risk my PC by listening to him online! He really is a deluded, glib, patronising, arrogant, inept, pretentious, ugly, antagonistic, smug tool. It really isn't worth getting worked up about him.

Why don't you offer your services to the Board? What with you. Jack and Royal Scam offering your combined expertise I am sure we would all feel the club is in much safer hands.

I'm not qualified: I'm too local, too poor, too skinny...and I actually give a shit about Coventry City Football Club rather than my own salary.

So you actually think it is realistic to find someone who has an emotional attachment and posses skill sets? On FFP rules the club is between a rock and a hard place. Try and get promoted and sign players they are financially incompetent. Sell and live within their means and they are berated for not spending any money.

Damned of you do and damned if you don't.

I'm reasonably certain that SISU haven't tried to. Somebody with an ounce of honesty and loyalty to the club would be completely off-message.

I usually stick up for sisu but this time i cant its a farce and i think they do it on purpose so they dont have to bring any players in.

There saying the accounts cant be filed as they cannot project the budget for the forthcoming 12 months because the acl/stadium issue?? bollocks file the accounts on the basis were operating on now, its only a projection.

Why come out and say were trying to get a new striker in to help Lee when they know full well that an embargo will be in place. I tell you why they have done it, to make out to the fans that they want to bring player in but cannot because its acl's fault they cant file the accounts.

They insult the intelligence of fans, to do this now when we have a real chance of promotion if we had another decent player or two. Unforgivable.

We brought in another player today on a free transfer.

Do Sisu actually want us to get promoted to the championship? The player sales they did while in the Championship clearly led to us getting relegated everyone knew it would happen. It wouldn't surprise me if they masterminded the downfall to League one so they could force the issue with the Ricoh arena rent/ownership.

When it was going tits up under Thorn i think they panicked and got players in as they didn't want to go down to league 2, now we have a real chance of getting promoted in the playoffs we are under another self imposed transfer embargo. Surely any sane business person would realise if we got one or two players in we could go up. If we did go up though with the extra income Sisu would not have a leg to stand on with these negotiations. I just wonder.................

He made 10 appearances this season, zero goals. He must have cost a lot. Here mate, heres 2 grand a week to sit on the bench and do fuck all.

Be hilarious if he literally had to sit on the bench all the time. Although I assume on non-match day's ACL would evict him?

Well who knows how many will pass or fail the test anyway. I don't - do you? If they don't get promoted Swindon will fail it. Sheffield will not because they get far more revenue. Many teams could fail. Concourse revenue would at least had half a million into our equation. The average crowd for those vying for promotion is around 8,000. They also get full access to every other revenue outlet so we have to get 30% more attendees to even compete with them.

Ultimately depends what you want. A club with a real chance if promotion or a club with as much chance as, say, orient.

What do you mean by standing by and letting it happen? Do you honestly thing shouting SISU OUT or calling them swear words on an internet forum would really make any difference at all?

Well with that imagination you probably deserve what you get!

He should be a politician.

He tries to twist the truth with everything. I know ultimately he's all we've got to save the club, but he's just so untrustworthy. He's a slippery individual.

Aren't the other half of this mess, the council, politicians too...yet some people choose to believe them....

Whatever you think of politicians (IMO harsh to regard local politicians, many of whom have a good service to their community record, who get paid nothing, only expenses ... In the same league as MPs) no-one has given any reason why EVERY local councillor has taken this line.
So, I will pose the question again: what does Coventry Council have to gain from lying, misrepresenting or being unreasonable in this matter?

So I presume then that ACL will make a statement saying they haven't received any money, let alone £800K from the Club. Look forward to reading that.

Yes he did.

He also claimed that the auditors had praised him on doing a fine job on turning the clubs finances around.

I wish someone could explain to me how FFP is anything but a good thing for the club and SISU.

It forces them to live within their means. It has nothing to do with rent.

If they are paying £3m in wages they need a turnover of £4.6m. That is irrespective of what rent they are paying.

If they have a turnover of £3m then they can only pay £2m in wages. Nothing to do with rent.

Fisher said that since April ACL has received £800K from the club. Some have said this is not true and laughable. I said I look forward to hearing ACL stating they haven't received that amount.

You appear to have knowledge of facts that no one else has access to. What £800K?
