If you can't afford to go, you can't afford to go and that is the case for many, many fans.

I know of a lot of people who can't afford to go now, let alone if the match day cost was to increase even further.

Price of additional petrol (23 games with 50 mile round trip over and above 10 mile trip to Ricoh at 135p/litre and 35mpg = £8.77 per game) =£200

Think that FL ruling is that club should provide free transport.
Would not rule out ticket price increases to cover loss of support though.

I'm just saying that people are making assumptions based on nothing, and some people are jumping on the bandwagon, we don't know the ins and outs, and we'll have to wait for the administrator decide who's the best bid. - yet people are moaning at the administrator for lack of action etc. if PH4 and others are that interested, they'll stay in the mix for as long as it takes, the administrator can't just whore himself to the first public person expressing interest.

Just be weary of any new owner.

How do you know this. Its a guess based on your opinion.

How about SISU bought the club assuming promotion to the PL would increase the value of the club and they would sell it on at a profit.
Things didn't happen as planned and they then had a downward spiral as a result of declining incomes.
It's my opinion, but I don't really know the answer.

That is a very pessimistic take on things. Fans will always have a stake in their club as long as they continue to attend and remain invested. No fans = no club, which is why I argued that "starving SISU out" is parricidal.

I don't necessarily think that people are clamouring for them to stay. What I meant more was that there's enormous scepticism towards the idea of anyone wanting to take the club on: 'Oh but they'll never get a deal with ACL', 'Oh but without a cheap rent we'll still look at leaving the Ricoh' and so on. Half, or even full, ownership of ACL isn't off the cards for someone with the financial acumen and negotiating skills to do so.

Coventry City is 'my' or 'our' club. Regardless of who owns the club.
We may not agree with all the shit that is going on, but come game day, whether we go or not, we look to see how 'we' are doing.

Promotion brings with it vastly increased revenue from commercial sources and a rise in attendances and season tickets. Once in the Championship nobody is able to compete without spending enormous sums-this will change with tighter FFP regulation on club losses. Without an owner willing to piss £20m a year down the drain like Leicester, it comes more down to the quality of management.

I also wouldn't estimate the contribution of the revenue-F+B matchday revenue alone in 2011/12 was £1.1m. ACL's total turnover, which I assume with 50% ownership we could count towards the club's income, will be quite substantial indeed. At least in this country football is not usually a profit making enterprise.
