Agree, the Higgs share will be handed over on a plate pretty much. I don't know why the council wouldn't be keen to sell, as long as they were confident the buyers were competent and had good intentions why wouldn't they? You'd have thought they'd want rid of the headache, and they'd still own the freehold.

I wouldn't be so sure they wouldn't do a deal, one councillor's opinion doesn't mean a dictatorship. The fans will hopefully help SISU finally get their coats and the same fans could heavily pressure the council the same to do what's right for the long term survival of the club. I would also expect any new owners to run the club in an economically responsible fashion with supporter involvement wherever possible.

C'mon mate - always enjoy your banter, but there's a world of difference between ACL (who have a public structure and clear records regarding who owns what), and SISU, Arvo, Otium EG etc. who have multiple layered companies, some based offshore, and manage funds for which there is no clear beneficial owner.

The big difference is that SISU are vultures who specialise in buying up struggling companies to try and squeeze money out of them. As far as I am aware, ACL's business is restricted to The Ricoh Arena. World of difference if you ask me!

Rubbish. CCFC and ACL both agreed the rent figure with no clause for revaluation. This CCFC's fault for declining flexible rental that was offered.

When CCFC asked for negotiation after relegation (albeit in an arse backwards / unscrupulous way) ACL did not take long in offering a vastly improved rate and payment plan for debt.

I don't think their resolve to not sell has been properly tested. Were say Haskell to offer something like £10-20m, which is in my mind too high, they'd be idiots to reject it.

So what? Just because other clubs do it doesn't mean we should. This is one of the main reasons we're in this shit. We (and all clubs) shouldn't be reliant on people funding our losses. At the end of the day the investor/owner doesn't gift the club the money, it is an investment/loan which just racks up debt.

This is one of the reasons FFP is being introduced.
