Love how those who hate the move to Northampton so much go to every bloody game.

It is not a protest. It is a meeting point for tramps who don't want to pay. If ricoh has an overlooking hill these guys would be there too.

This isn't an insult or a dig at anyone who goes to a game (I don't agree with that but its an individuals choice), but do you believe its morally wrong for Coventry City to be playing their games in Northampton?

Yes- with an empty stadium, perfectly fit for purpose, subject to a renegotiated rent agreement awaiting use. I personally find it morally abhorrent. But we all make choices for different reasons.

It was more directed personally at covcity4life.

Seems to be a few who actually prefer playing at sixfields, heard one on CWR the other night.

I wasn't on the hill I was on a bench wrapped up in some garbage called SISU accounts.

Steve he has been there every week, people keep saying that they respect other peoples points of view so respect his.

I will be there this week and feel that if he is asked to remove his banner it will make us no better then the Rapid response crews we have to put up with at various Football grounds.
We are not the police and if it has upset some people then tough, I am upset with my team playing in Northampton and nobody cares so why should he?

Not sure I noticed that one, if its there again next week I will request its removed.

If I wanted to make up a fake account to encourage fans to attend Northampton what would I call it...

...probably covcity4life.

...because it targets the wrong people, and sends out a message contrary to the OP.

Agreed the man deserves his freedom of speech. I appreciate the Trust are in an awkward position, but that banner actually represents a fair portion of our support's position

If it diverts from the main message, then it's counter-productive.

The same as going and holding a banner saying TRAMPS STAND ON THE HILL wouldn't be over-constructive.

But the guy is stood on public land, and is a free citizen.

What right have any of us to ask what banners he can or cant have?

In fairness though most of his posts make me want to go to sixfields even less.

The Trust shouldn't be charged with policing is my point.

I don't particularly think Linell or the phone in help with continual digs at those who choose not to go, but that's his prerogative (oh wait no its licence payers money - what was I talking about again?).

As I said, depends if you want people coming up with banners saying True Sky Blues Support Sixfields. (and yep, I'd call them a dickhead if any do come and do that - the same as the person who said they hoped we stayed in Northampton was a dickhead)

You want a message to be effective, it's best to have it focussed.

You want a message to be inclusive, it's best to have it focussed.

You want everybody to join together after all this? It's best to have it focussed.

Because they don't like it shame.
I don't like standing on a Hill because someone has stolen my Club but hayho life's a bitch at times.

I'm not saying I would encourage that banner, I'm just saying you, me or the trust have no right to ask him not to bring it.

Just the same if someone going in the ground had a banner saying the opposite, I would completely disagree with its content, but I would always defend his right to express his opinion. Especially whilst on public land.

Don't play the victims lads. You know full well that if it was a nearby hill that offered no view of the pitch it wouldn't be used to protest.

Ccfc not in Cov is atrocious, I am just saying what I think.

Week 1 it was a protest, now its just a new form of season ticket

By that logic, the numpty that booed the fans coming out the ground shouldn't have been told to shut it.

Free speach is all very well, but you want to send a message, you have to try to be as clear in the message as possible.

Else it becomes a rabble and anarchy.

Can't forcibly take his sodding banner off him, but can point this out to him!

Some very disappointing comments from you tonight.
Calling me a tramp?
I decided not to go into sixfields as I think it is wrong, therefore the only way to watch my team is on the hill.
I'd go inside every week to watch Coventry play if the reason was that the Ricoh was burnt down.

Absolute rubbish if we did not protest then Sisu have won saying look no one cares.

Sorry but unlike you I do care where my team play.

Of course it wouldn't be used to protest?? Why would it??

I go to Sixfields hill as I want to watch my football team without giving our disgraceful owners a penny of my money.
To me that is not an example of a tramp.

If your talking about someone explaining reasons to him as to why it would be better for him not to have it, then I don't have a problem with that.

Just saying that ultimately its up to the guy what he has.

Hey I'm happy to join any protest going. My hatred for Sisu knows no ends.

I'm just saying an individual is perfectly entitled to carry whatever banner they wish.

If it had been at Walsall we would have still demonstrated so what is your point?

Fair enough, he does have a right to say his piece I suppose. It's got potential to create trouble if anyone takes exception to it though.

I just don't see how taking swipes at other fans will help either the current situation or the future state of the club. I'd much rather see fans protests directed at groups that have actually caused/ignored this farcical state of affairs.

Think that's out of order. We had a wide range of supporters on the hill, including children and ladies. It's a statement, a protest and on that occasion a picnic.
It' was a family event for these who believe that its wrong for the team they love is playing out of our City.
To me the miles, the cost, the travel time does not matter, its morally wrong.

Do not want to insult those who go in, but the fans on the hill are not as weak as some.

Call me weak again. I came straight up the hill on my way out and the few people pointing and laughing suddenly became friendly and jovial.

How can people moan about being called scabs or tramps, both as bad as each other and bad both ways.

I'm pretty sure people on the hill could afford a ticket...

Oh really scared!!!
And they say we are the one's causing trouble and intimidating people shown your true colours now!!!
