Let's not get tangled up in MK Dons/AFC Wimbledon. It's US, CCFC we're talking about. My take is Wimbledon are the Wimbledon of Plough Lane, Vinnie Jones. The others are Milton Keynes. End of.
No good leaving this to crawl along. All the time we don't have our club in Coventry.
Initially we could talk to Sphinx, talk to Coventry United. I think either would be very happy to talk of upgrading their facilities to cater for say, 5,000 fans. More will get on board once the bandwagon gets rolling.
Ignore the Nick's, the Stupots, sitting on their hands, going along with whatever gets thrown at them. They'll still be throwing wet blankets over everything in a year. YOU want your club, fight for it.

I'm not being funny but why would Coventry Utd or Sphinx want to talk to you? Why would they welcome another rival team?

Fernando, investment, the prospect of being part of something much bigger. Better facilities. Who knows, they may like the idea.
Exploratory talks, see what they think. Talk to rugger club about sharing. Higgs about playing there with ground upgrades. And on and on.
If you have better ideas, tell us. And I'm being respectful, I'd welcome your input.
Doing nothing and waiting is not the way forward.
It would be us fans claiming our club back.

Investment from whom? If it's not a phoenix club but merely a merger of 2 existing clubs, why not just start following one of those two?

Yes because feelings of emotional attachment cant be turned on and off.

We're all different I suppose. I have the emotional attachment of my home city, hence why I can never go to Sixfields. It doesn't stop me missing my team though and wanting to watch them away.

People are right to consider a Pheonix club. But it has to be a Pheonix club. That can only be when Coventry City no longer exist or are taken away completely from the city and there identity changed.

At the moment we are still wrapped up in stand offs and legal battles.

In the meantime fans are left to decide if and when they turn out to support the club. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. You have to be true to your own heart and opinion in these situations.

One thing we can all respect, is we have all worn the sky blue scarf....respect the fan behind it.

I think that is the feelings of many. I think it would be wise to work towards setting something up to kick off in August 2014, by which time we will have a much clearer understanding of whats going on.

By february dont know ifits beginning or end you have to tell the football authorities that you intend to form a club then May again not sure beginning or end you have to have to present your business plan to them. I will find out and get back on this

I think that at the moment all you can do is gather information but there is going to come a time when the bullets got to be bitten and I think that time is coming

Mark, the trust is by far the best group to do this but my understanding was always the trust would only do so if ccfc was liquidated. If the trust says it would set up a phoenix club for 2014/15 then they would definitely be the best people to do it. But as Broken Hearted says, there is a timetable so can't just wait till the end of the season and decide then. tbh, I am completely torn on this. I can't say I have any burning enthusiasm for the idea but as there does seem to be increasing interest it does seem worthwhile exploring it and I am getting more messages about it and some people actively pursuing it. But I'll keep on repeating, a big dose of reality is needed. Unless Broken Hearted or someone else knows differently, I'm being told that if ccfc remained in existence then a new club would get no (or at best minimal) preference in terms of what tier it would play at. I also think the likely crowds would be way below what some people think. Imagine a cold, wet night at a non-league venue watching non-league football? How many people would really be up for that?

And yes Bigfatronssba timing is everything, and vitally important if you want the support of the sba. Even on this thread there are mixed messages.

The time to bite the bullet is when ccfc ceases to exist or it's confirmed that the club is moving permanently.

The time is on us to pick where we go we either follow Sisu who have no intention of looking after the fans or the club in the correct manner, or start a fresh with part fan ownership in Coventry for those who can leave the history behind.. TF does not care about us, the city or its history he cares about damanging all before him te prove a point and more imporantly recoup the loss his company have made while making a pigs ear of running the club.

I know where i stand as i never have felt the same about the club since they have started playing outside the city that it belongs to, franchise club run by horrible people with no regard for anyone.. Build a club and we will pass SISU on the way up with the 1500 wishing they would of followed...

CCFC won't be liquidated this will limp on for years, court case followed by court case, Will SP still be around in 2 seasons time as we play in front of !,000 at the cobblers, Rioch has gone Christie will go soon next summer unless we are promoted expect to lose a few of our young stars , as they move to clubs with prospects who play to proper crowds. Doing nothing is not an option, waiting on the sidelines hoping things will happen is again wasting time, if SISU are prepared to take the financial hit of Sixfielfd then who knows what else they are prepared to do, the fans are bottom of their priorities.

Stu serious question didnt know you didn't go to away games, how long will it be before you lose interest 1.2,5 years then what do you go to the new stadium if built and say all is forgiven

We need a football team to support in Coventry. That team in Northampton isn't ours anymore. It's just a Sisu plaything.

Im getting to the stage now where im thinking that they can shove it up there arses. As every week passes by i slip further away and take less interest.
