Taking aside the obvious... did you get the sense she wasn't overly well briefed if she was leading a consultation? It goes back to the earlier thing that from the tidbits, it seems a bit of an odd thing to do to consult without any parameters on what's possible and what isn't.
Or is that an unfair assessment?

I'm genuinely amazed that anyone, including those presenting, think a stadium will be built, especially after today's FOI reports. Incredible.

If I had to guess I'd say she was probably approached, possibly sounded out through corporate and genuinely wants to consult. If she was a poster she'd be on GMK as she obviously thinks the new stadium is a good idea, but that doesn't mean anything other than poor taste.
But aside from access to various people she seems to have no more info than the rest of us. Could be wrong but she certainly didn't give any impression she knew more but wasn't saying.
To try to be fair, she's probably wanting to be involved as early as possible and that invariably means before anythings been decided.
But to me that means the whole project is not as far along as was made out. It seemed almost like we're at the very start.

The date for the open CCFC Stadium Forum is set for later this month
The second meeting to help shape Coventry City’s new stadium will take place later this month.
The CCFC Stadium Forum has been set-up to ensure the club’s tradition and history is imprinted on the new venue and it meets with season ticket holders and corporate season ticket holders this evening (January 9).
The forum, chaired by city businesswoman and lifelong City fan Sandra Garlick, will hold an open meeting on Monday, January 20 at the Village Hotel in Coventry.
Sandra said: “We will be holding several meetings over the next few weeks to hear views on what supporters would want from a new home for the club, so they can be passed on to the club and its designers as they continue to develop their plans.
“Those who would like to be on the committee, which will be formed in early February, will be invited to register their interest.”
Anyone wishing to attend needs to register by emailing [email protected]. Confirmation of booked places will be sent via email. Supporters are asked to arrive at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

OK I'm home now so can be a bit more descriptive.
- pictures that we've seen, plus one extra of the "fans zone" that to me looked like a load of those pub umbrellas
- will be a "football club stadium" nothing non-football attached (later said revenue will come from "fans zone" retail income).
- capacity is 12k starting moving up in stages that take 6-9 months to compete. Down to the club though. However Brentford have this model and it suits their needs (implication being its suit ours as we are a similar club). Capacity could go up to 25k in modules. Then could change the structure for a bigger ground (30k was mentioned) if needed later.
- Club looking into safe standing, but dependant on outcome of FA consultation. Currently not allowed above L1 that may change though.
- Might have different colour seats to Sky blue as apparently the players complain they can't see each other when the Ricoh is empty
- Can have input on where away fans are. Minimum league requirements for away capacity, but designed to be flexible and allow more should the club wish to cash on on big away gates.
- Want to know what we've seen elsewhere that we like.
- will have community features ("you know for the youngsters and um...the community") not sure what yet. Wants input.
- lots of car parking will be available. Wants consultation on other transport links.
- stadium designed to look "finished" at 12k and provide atmosphere. Stands as close to pitch as possible (I think 3.5m at the sides and 5.5 at the ends but don't quote me). Stands as steep as possible for better atmosphere. Roof designed to push sound onto pitch.
- corporate seats not behind glass, part of the action.
That's all I can remember right now.

This modular idea is ridicules. 99% of the time, including when we were in the prem 15000 is enough seats, when we get a big game the need for 30000 is needed, then the week later back to 15000 so can the cup draw be done 6 months in advance??? Lol if not what's the point of ever expanding? May as well piss off 15000 people and lose the money they would bring maybe two

So they want it only for football? Even Highfield Road managed to put the odd concern on. Didn't Lou Lou and Elton perform there before it closed?
Admittidly the Ricoh (I think) was always designed to be more of an exhibition centre than a football ground, but surely they need to look at additional ways to bring in revenue? After all this complaining of making no money through extra event. / F & B etc. Are close-season events such a bad thing? Bet they bring in a fair £
Another point picked up on is the issue of the seats colours; the players complain? Really? Not a subtle way of saying we may not always be 'The Sky Blues'? Or am I reading too much into that!
After all, the only thing apart from the club badge at the Ricoh was the colour of the seats matched our club colour.
Definitely agree about fans having a say on where away fans sit. One poor decision at the Ricoh was where they were located!
As for Stadium designs we 'like', I think a model like Rotherham would be ideal. Not too sure if that kind of saptadium is 'expandable' to the capacity they've stated tonight.

Re: the seats. Was more a "here's an example of the kind of feedback we've had and what we can influence" than any firm plans. I think she meant it's something we may want to talk about.

Based on what has been asked and answers given, I doubt anyone asking a question around the FOI requests would have walked away knowing anymore so I don't see it being an issue, and certainly don't see it giving away "what type of audience" was there.
Would have been a 'we can't comment on that' or 'we don't know' I suspect

a CBRE representative was there, surely they would be the best people to ask. ML and TS seem to have gone camera and radio shy, very out of character. especially for ML, he's been on a PR crusade the last few weeks.

Surely it would be relevant to ask a question around the fact that we know that Fisher et al have been lying over and over again for the past 6 months at least, so Sandra, do you have any evidence at all that a ground will be built, and if not are we all wasting our time being here?

I don't think she's any more a liar than CBRE for saying they've been asked to look or the architects for saying they've been asked to draw up plans.
