Who was it who said in January we wouldn't win another game under Pressley?

Massive result this one! That's us 8 points clear of relegation and 10 points off play offs

We need to sign Wilson on a 6 year contract, the kid is coventry through and through and plays for the shirt! 21 goals already this season even after being out for 6-8 weeks. Just Brilliant.

He was called savosdad I think, he didn't take me up on my bet for charity that we would though. The yellow belly!

This team is dire.
Can't pass, can't defend, big hoof all the time, second to the ball, can't tackle and more important can't create chances.

Bloody hell, really? Statistically we are the 7th best team in the division!

Get a grip italiahorse.

Big win. I'd said to myself we needed 6 points out of Stevenage, Crewe and Bradford. Let's make it 9 please. Can't believe 7 yellows though.

Chief Commentator!
Defended like our life's depended on getting a result that second half.

Even when Marshall came on, he was thrown himself into every challenge, even the aerial ones. For a little bloke, he hasn't half got a spring to his game!

Very pleased with the 3 points and our almost certain safety in league one (oh how depressing that sounds in reality)

I'd actually quite like to see Marshall get more of a run in the team. It pains me to say it but if Moussa see's his career elsewhere this summer, I'd probably start giving Marshall more playing time down the wing.

Very clinical finish for the winner considering he was feeding off scraps for most of the game. Defending was desperate at times however there seemed to be a lot more effort in the second half and Murphy, except for the goal, was excellent once again.

Not saying it's not a great result but our play all round is dire.

Doesn't matter how we played, it's the 3 points that count.

Agree Stu but really need to up it a notch against better sides. Robinson and Prutton already making a difference to our physicality, shame they weren't here earlier.

Massive win today, however the way Elvis set the team up is worrying. The 5-1-2-1-1 or 5-1-3-1 as it transpired made it impossible for us to pass the ball or create anything positive, ours goals came from one bit of moose individuality and a slip in the Crewe back line. We didn't look anymore defensively stable than we do when playing 4-4-2. Hoping this system is only temporary because Elvis thinks it will help us defensively. We should line up:

Murph

Christie
Willis
Seabourne
Adams

Prutton
Robinson

Baker
Moussa
Marshall

Wilson

Instead of:

Murph

Willis
Clarke
Webster
Seabourne
Adams

Prutton

Thomas
Robinson
Moussa

Wilson

We kicked that round thing between the sticks more times than they did. Winning ugly > playing beautifully and losing

I suggest if you can't stomach that, maybe supporting Coventry City isn't for you. ;)

So no discussions other than the result ? Okay I'll listen to the match.

We played away to a team we have a poor record with. A team fighting to avoid relegation.
And we won!

Have you ever posted something positive on this forum?

Very true, but for these last couple of games we just need to stop the rot and grind out some result. It impresses me that Pressley has taken the pragmatic approach and change personnel, formation and tactics to do this.

And agree, we've missed a little bit of grit and experience in midfield all season.

Its not the fact you've questioned the performance italiahorse, its that you always come across quite negative on here regardless. You are quite vehement in the way you spout your footballing opinions. Just read your posts from today, ludicrously over the top for a team that has won 2 on the trot and is essentially the 7th best team statistically in this league.

Not a dig, just an observation squire.

Agree with that. First time I've seen us win away in a long time, chuffed that the journey was worth it :)

Any criticism I have is against SISU and the quality of players they have given us, possibly based on the level of income as a result of them reducing the it by moving.
All praise to Pressley for doing what he has done. But it does not stop the fact that we are a one man team. The only chance of keeping Wilson was getting promotion so next season will be even worse if we can't change our situation with regards venue.

My comments are for today's game. We were second in every 'basic' football discipline. Include last weekend in that as well.

I refuse to be happy on a situation created by SISU.
