No one yet, perhaps - but it seems we're in an environment where people are nervous about posting information about ML meeting with fans. Why is that, I wonder?

Because there's nothing really worth posting up?

anyone else a little angry that this isnt an announcement for a new product in the club shop ?

I was looking fwd to the new CCFC sewing range

[h=1][/h]The Joy Seppella Needle
The Mark Labowich Thread
The Tim Fisher Fabric range

if you buy all 3, you will be able to design a set of curtains for the new stadium.

The wriggling by the people who attended these meetings is hilarious and the embarrassment is almost palpable.

Why so coy? I’m guessing that the meetings were either held in a public toilet or a male only sauna or that some inappropriate touching went on.

Or was the Labovitch/Byng double act so bad that it still makes you cringe?

Surely they didn’t sell you a time-share, did they?

Or maybe you just don’t remember anything after that first drink and woke up in the morning with a sore botty.

I really don't see any wriggling or embarrassment. Nick has openly said if you want a meeting he'll pass on your details. Seeing conspiracies that aren't there just makes you look a dick.
Go and meet with him if you feel you've been left out.

Some people really are acting like dickheads.

And as they do, Labovitch must be sat reading it all cackling evilly, stroking his white cat.

I don't feel left out, I feel lucky that I have better things to do in life than waste my time listening to prats like ML (and, come to think of it, replying to prats like you).

With all respect we spend day weeks months all giving our sixpence worth of bullshit because thats all we have got , then when someone meets the men in the know , nothing , not even worth telling anyone that they had a meeting and back to giving there own thoughts/version of events , that does seem strange to me

With all due respect, I have put my thoughts up, but why let that get in the way of a good rant.

But people who, for whatever motive, seek to divide because they're not happy with the answer, continue to poke.

Kind of insulting really. If you don't like the answer tough, the song remains the same.

Nobody is being coy or wriggling?

The only wriggling is when the outraged people are put on the spot by asking if they want to go and ask their questions....

As I've said before ,what Is the motive of this Initiative ,post JR result/success reaching out for fan engagement or Pre JR fear of failure and changing of publisc perceptions ?

He's reported as saying TF/JS don't share his confidence of success ,not sure i buy that.

This thread and the other are providing an ideal result eh!

The conspiracy theory mentalists seem incapable of understanding that I can't magic up a smoking gun just because of paranoid delusions.

The desire for people to willingly engage in SISU PR work is not just baffling... it drives me to despair.

Who conversely never get their really simple reasonable questions answered ;)

When was it you went for a meeting again?
When was it you first mentioned it on here?
Why did you not mention it before?
What did you ask ML?
What was his answers?

Outrageous questions really. Still can't believe I am asking you them. Sorry about that so personal.

Yours

Keyboard warrior, man with an agenda, obsessive mentalist, LS' ex wife and a spy who knows ML. :)

Or

Maybe I am just a Cov fan and those questions are actually quite reasonable if you think about it.

Well if it was a PR exercise to put pressure on the council through the fans, if he did make that comment that was a massive own goal.

ha, I have said I will answer the ones I can remember when you do across a couple of threads.

I can't even remember dates and times of conversations it was so trivial to be honest so I couldn't answer when I first spoke to him etc. I have also said most people probably didn't mention it because of reactions from people like yourself ;)

Nobody took minutes so everything that was said won't be remembered either.

You keep making jokes about people saying you have an agenda, but won't answer why you won't meet him for yourself. ;)

When you take into account TFs SCG comments which we've heard before the " The JR will not resolve the Ricoh situation",he must mean that in a direct sense .

The following reference to the Whole council suggests a win would pretty much Destroy the whole council ,It's then a case of whether that Itself would offer up the Ricoh

through a Pitchfork wielding populace or It's simply personal and they do Indeed want to be seen to win the Moral battle.

I have answered that I would guess about 20 times so far.
You not believing my answer is entirely different to not answering it.
You seem to prefer the idea that I am known to ML despite me telling you I am not.

I would prefer to attend the main forum where ML is bringing all the people he says will allow the questions to be answered.

I don't personally like the way these meetings have been arranged and don't want to be part of it.

So you don't remember what day you had the meeting on? You first mentioned it on here on Thursday if that helps. I think you said the arsenal match in the telly provided a nice distraction during the meeting if that also helps.

What will be, will be.

It's naive in my view to think whoever 'wins' comes out scott free without some cause for concern, such is the way of such things.

Also little doubt however that a 'win' for SISU probably would shift public opinion to a certain degree.

Concerns me somewhat that many have built the JR up to a black and white, win or lose and conclusion one way or another follows that - it'll be far more complex than that, and it'll just shift the tedious circles on to the next move on the chess board.

I think you will find I have said what day it was, it was a Tuesday. ;) If I remember (I may be wrong) it was in reply to you spouting off assumptions it was a Monday. Apologies if wrong.

You can keep moaning and digging about it and asking the same over and over, it won't change anything.

You keep going on like a broken record, can you not see why people think you have an agenda wanting to know such specific things while not actually going yourself.

You don't like something so much, yet keep going on and on about it.

To be honest I can see what people are getting annoyed about, although you could debate how proportionate the response is!

If you look at the steps we went through its probably not been the most well managed process you could imagine:

  • ML on CWR promises a fans forum specifically to discuss the accounts.
  • Changes to a more general forum with all parties invited (knowing that they won't appear due to the impending JR).
  • Nick is contacted by ML and asked to put people forward for a meeting with him. Nick does this without putting an invite out to all forum members or making it known he has been asked.
  • Various, some still unknown, forum members attend meetings with ML. Not a single one even mentions they have been to a meeting.
  • Article in the CET saying ML has been holding meetings with small groups of fans as he decides who will be invited to the fans forum - this is the first the vast majority of people knew about this.
  • A drip feed of information begins. Those who have been make comments that seem contradictory, for example some say it was the same old thing or nothing of interest was said, while others won't repeat what is said for fear of legal action which tends to imply something of importance or interest has been said. Some posters mention others involved besides ML being present but won't say who. The whole thing becomes a much bigger issue than it really needs to be.
  • When posters complain about the process they are basically told they should either go to a meeting themselves or they can't comment. Some of those who attended meetings seem to give the impression they now have a direct line to ML and can facilitate meetings for others.
  • Two weeks on there is no sign of the fans forum details or anything out of the club to say it's not happening.

When you look at that its not hard to see why some people are slightly put out at what has happened. Just because people pass comment on what has taken place or want to debate it shouldn't really be met with the challenge to either go to a meeting or shut up. You do have to wonder if the whole thing is having the effect ML desired, to once again provide a diversion from the bigger issues.

If I were to meet people from the other 'side', would I be expected to ask in advance for questions then, too, and to ask if anybody else wanted to accompany me?

Asking what happened and how you get it sorted is fine, but 'why did you not immediately tell us' has a little hint of paranoia about it.

I would have thought most peoples response, especially those who spend a fair amount of time on here, would be to at least mention you had met with someone. Even if it's just a "met with Joy, nothing new mentioned". It just seems odd that there was no mention of it at all. When it was queried if it was a 'secret meeting' some said no, others said they'd been asked to keep it confidential.

I used to have a manager who worked for me who would never tell his staff anything. Used to drive me mad, I kept telling him if you're not open with them it will be Chinese whispers and people assuming their own version of events or a worse case scenario and that's what's happening now.

I haven't said people can't comment, I have said if they have such an issue about being left out then I am happy to try and arrange another. Most people who had an issue I have spoken to and tried to arrange something for them if they want to ask certain things. It is very much like the "I walked past Tim Fisher today, people were lapping it up, if I ever saw him I'd punch him" but they just walked past and moaned about it.

How could I invite the whole forum? If I made it public and then only picked a few I would have had "Why wasn't I chosen" etc etc.

Maybe people should be demanding to know how often fans groups have been meeting with people too? ;) Not just random normal fans?

Spot on chief.

Also when the odd person has asked about what happened at the meetings there seemed to be an immediate attack mentality which was frankly quite bizarre!

When that happens to me I tend to just ask more questions. Then of course I run the risk of been accused of having an unhealthy obsession or an agenda.

The only sarcastic comments were in reply to you because of the way I was spoken to, others who asked got a lengthy explanation and understood the situation ;) I think one of them has even arranged to meet him.

What is bizarre is how you won't let it drop, you keep stirring it up as much as you can. ;) I have politely said if you wanted to speak to him to ask your questions then I would happily try to arrange it for you.

We don't need help in dividing our fan base. We're quite capable of doing that ourselves thank you very much. Just read most posts from @Rich, MMM, Bigfatron, etc etc.

I think LADovitch is a much more suitable name for the master strokes he has played in dividing the fan base.

Nick sorry but that is rubbish you are telling me you Grendel, LS are frightened of some nasty posts on here!

Have the meeting come on here and tell people about it, everyone is very interested about what was said. Explain that you did not have time to put out an invite to all or canvas questions. If anyone has a pop over that then that is their problem. Someone always will.

However tell people about afterwards though that is the really weird bit.

Not telling people then attacking those who had the cheek to ask questions once it came out.

Have you got any jobs going?

To be clear I'm not trying to say anyone has done anything wrong or what they should or shouldn't do more that when you look at the whole thing (which really starts with the club) rather then any individual part it has all been a bit odd and the lack of information leads people to draw their own conclusions. In my experience when that happens people generally imagine a much worse version than the truth.

After all the bitching and moaning that's gone on I still don't think anyone has actually come out and said what was discussed. Although I might have missed it as I was losing the will to live reading some of the threads and skipped over a few pages!

So my question is, why won't you go and have a meeting and document it all and invite other people if you want? You can do what you want then? You can ask for questions, you can take minutes.

I didn't attack anybody, you had a dig, I had a dig back ;) Another person got a PM explaining.

Some people obviously don't want others to know they went, hence I was asked not to give out identities (not that I would anyway)
