People are missing the key point here.

If I wrote a 110 page statement that was "dismissed" I would be PISSED!!

I suspect if you had to read the crap in it you would be even more pissed.

People aren't gunning for their football club at all, they're gunning for SISU. A lot believe like myself that the council winning the JR could see the end of SISU and a return of the club back to the Ricoh eventually.

Up the Council & SISU out

Jesus Christ - I'm going for a lie down and a bottle of jack Daniels.

if they go back on rent with a view to negotiating it will push back our hopes of ccfc owning a ground by years.

ccfc needs to move forward, we cant keep being bitches to rent

May not have an option mate , Fishbowl looking very, very unlikely , club unsustainable in Northants, 100k a year rent plus matchday costs may be the best offer CCFC get , either that or oblivion .

Please don't do that to me. I have been indoors all day and haven't seen this "marvellous weather" people are speaking of ........ Talking about JD will be enough for me to grab the rope!

Why not, plenty of other clubs rent?
Even if they rented in the short term it would show loyalty and respect to there customers.

I'd have to be pissed (as a rat) to write 110 pages in the first place, though in fairness if I could pad it out with illustrations I'd have a chance. I wouldn't do any horses though, I'm crap at drawing horses. ;)

Talking of which, two rats in a sewer.

First rat says, "Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t. That's all we ever eat. Sh*t for breakfast, sh*t for dinner, sh*t for tea. I've had enough of eating sh*t."

Second rat says, "Don't worry mate, we're out on the piss tonight."

:)

Oh right, so what at the moment gives you confidence that we will own our football stadium anytime soon? at least with a short term rental deal would see us back at the Ricoh with the first kick of next season.

But couldn't she use all of the illustrations of the new ground to pad it out?

I think the point is that the case is about the procedures undertaken by CCC regarding the loan to ACL.

So not really to do with CCFC as such. Any contact was between SISU and CCC so SISU would already have title to their side of the documents.

The costs. These must be mounting up. 8 barristers and lawyers for the Higgs case 5 for this today, time and cost of putting a 110 page statement together with 2500 supporting documents, a detailed experts report on the ACL loan deal........ and we haven't got to the main event yet.

I know things are never clear cut in putting things to a court but their counter claim dismissed as no basis in law, a lengthy & costly statement dismissed, an experts report stated as not relevant ............. does make you wonder as to what they are doing and the advice they are getting

It wasn't really a case of winners or losers as such today ....... it was a process to go through that is quite normal usually.....but it does come across as a miscalculation by SISU though

ps Simon could have put SISU QC on twitter stupot would have been more accurate ;)

That's right. I sincerely believe that the club will never return to Coventry as long as Sisu own it. And staying at Northampton is unsustainable as there is no support there. So their ownership can only end with the club ceasing to exist.

The club can only have a chance of returning to the Ricoh (because there's nowhere else!) if we have new owners who can work with the stadium owners. It really is that simple.

your thinking short term for your own selfish reasons.

i am saying we should not abandon aim of owning a stadium. if i was not sisu doing this we would be lauding our owners for trying to take us to next level.

the owners are bad, the landlords are bad. but owning a staidum would be great.

No-one's arguing with you mate. We just want the club at the Ricoh while this shit is sorted, be it buying the Ricoh or moving us to Bedworth. There's no reason to punish the fans here other than to get people worked up so they'll believe any PR spin you put out.

No reason not to have a 1 year rolling contract while this is sorted. Even if it costs twice as much as Sixfields it makes financial sense and more importantly isn't slowly killing off our fanbase.

It's comments like yours against a short term rent deal that suggest you don't just want what's best for CCFC. Why do you care how much cash a hedge fund makes? Don't you just want to watch CCFC at home again?

lol bet you had line ready for the admin process and then higgs case .

or did someone else ask you to post that? maybe an older person who cant use a computer?

But in both those cases sisu didn't batter anyone in court.

Sisu have now been beaten by both ACL and CCC in court, and failed to beat the Higgs.

No other supporters in the Football League would be gunning for their own football club like some do on this forum.

Based on this forum, CCFC supporters currently have the kind of club they deserve.

Rubbish. Supporting the Council against SISU in this has nothing to do with wanting the club to fail. In fact from where I'm standing it's completely the opposite.

If the JR fails SISU face some hard choices: Stick it out at Northampton whilst losing a stack of money and build the new stadium, start negotiating sensibly about a return to the Ricoh, or sell up and move on to someone who can deal with ACL/CCC. Any of those options are better for the club than where we are now, as far as I can see it.

In essence you've got an unspecified grudge against the council, and on that basis you're labelling anyone who hasn't as somehow against the club. That's just wrong, sorry.

Based on this forum and almost all of the fans I've ever met (pro or anti-Council) I'd say we deserve a far, far better club than our owners have provided - it's just a pity some try to place the blame for their failings elsewhere.

i believe a short term rent deal will delay ownership which is why sisu perhaps have not taken it imo, or they might just be posturing.

i did not say i would not love it if we came back tommrow.

So today we have learned that the sisu can find the time, energy and associated costs of writing a 110 page document in the effort of trying to obtain documents for a gamble of a court case that offers no clear benefit to the club regardless of the result. But are unable to provide any real plans or direction on a stadium that we are supposed to believe they are going to build.

I would say that I hope the FL are paying attention but I guess it wouldn't actually make any difference.

Why would it? Unless Sisu are in fact distressing ACL as they have strenuously denied all along. There'd be a time limit to negotiations, with building pressure on both sides, if anything it would speed up a resolution as Sisu's current plan seems to be to starve ACL out and as they're about to pay 2 years of mortgage payments to them, we could be waiting some time.

You don't wait out local government FFS, they're pass masters at dragging things on forever.

All I see from our owners is misstep after misstep after misstep. Even for their aims they have chosen woefully. Every time something like this comes up they get annihilated by the judge. It's getting a little embarrassing now.

Has there been another stadium group update recently? Things have gone very quiet there for a group that was supposed to be all done by the end of March.

It looks like your'e the one thinking short term for your own selfish reasons. Do you actually think that if SISU get the freehold of the Ricoh CCFC will own it? Timothy already told us that our club won't own it. Yet you make out as though it is the only chance of our club owning a stadium again.

We don't have a clue what the future holds for our club. It certainly don't look good with SISU running it. I have said all along that SISU will accept a rental agreement if they don't win the JR, although there are other things that could happen. Liquidation through spite. They have been threatening liquidation for over two years now. Don't think so. Sell up.....at the bottom. Don't think so. Stay in Northampton. Would the FL allow it? Don't think so. Build a stadium. Least likely.

I'm convinced they have a buyer lined up in Byng and that a lot of what they're doing is clearing the way for him.

I don't think the JR will be the cure all some think, but even if it does lead to the Ricoh being sold to Sisu I expect them to them bow out, if not then Byng comes in as white knight bringing us home. Win Win.

Possible, win win? The jury is out.

I think Byng is just a diversionary tactic, trying to add credence to the "give the Ricoh to us and we'll soon go" story... ;)

No one liquidates through spite - absurd

Also this bit about not owning the Ricoh - id ask OSB if that is commercially sensible if I were you.

He did say "don't think so" after it.....

Does OSB58 know how much rent would be charged if SISU/Otium owned it? I would have thought that would play a part in any "commercially sensible" discussions...

When would the deadline be for SISU to pull out of the JR ? Is it too late for that?

Not suggesting they would, I just wondered...
