Well if the backers are willing to put the money in then ask for the 5,000 limit to be taken away. Make a no strings attached totally free return to the Ricoh for 3 years (assuming the FL are happy).
There's been no confirmation that ACL are happy with this offer, or what the cost will be, but hopefully they will honour the free for a year, then £150k for the next 2 offer from before (and make it clear whether this includes match day costs).
I still think this will be refused, but if you leave room for excuses from SISU then you will receive excuses.
Aside from this deal that we're talking about I think not giving SISU/Otium any money is the best approach.
I don't disagree with you. I just feel that if some fans stopped picking holes and used that effort to add to what Michael has started. It doesn't matter where it's starting from as we should be looking to add value not subtract. Anybody who's only interested in what the deal currently is have their heads up their ass, its where that deal needs to get to is what's important.
We need more local business men on board, not just financially but with influence too.
I've already suggested that we could do collections at games so fans can donate towards the rent as they come in. I'd happily chuck a fiver in every home game and I would wager I'd be in the majority of the attendees.
We could approach old sponsors who no longer have an involvement to donate in return for some kind of publicity.
If we have to pay the rent for the hedge fund then let's aim for that if that's the only way we can get our team home.
And anyone who has to know how much is in the kitty before they can get on board is talking bollocks. Do these same people give a collection tin a shake before they put their loose change in so they can decide if they are going to contribute or do they put their change in regardless as they believe in the cause?
