Happy clappers get my goat to be fair, if everything is brilliant all the time even when it isn't, then how can you really appreciate it when things do actually happen that are good?
What period in all that time would you call the golden era?

I thought the old 5 was a sixties thing, I swear I used to hear it shouted when I was standing on the Kop in the early 70's, that and come on you blue booooys
You certainly did hear 'the old five' in the sixties, but I remember a couple of older supporters telling me that it was something they used to shout years before - pre-war even. I think what they used to shout was 'We want the old five'.
