Great news but surely they can't be serious about still building a new stadium if this goes through?

I can't see any deal being accepted where SISU/CCFC are only going to be in it short term.
If SISU are serious about a new stadium which they still claim to be even if this goes through. Say in 6 years time a new stadium is built and ready to play in, then whats to stop SISU demanding a ridiculous amount to wasps to buy out there 50%?

Why would anyone fork out to invest in a stadium whilst carrying on to build another one? There's no reason to invest in the Ricoh at all unless the club want to stay for the long term because the lease allows them to stay in the short term anyway and can surely be extended to allow for delays in construction.

How much have sisu offered in terms of payment?
Maybe just a fraction more than £2.77m (£3m?). Probably not enough to get a serious consideration. And perhaps any amount will be matched by Wasps anyway?
But is the proposal of a new partnership with Higgs perhaps the one and only thing nobody from CCC/Wasps/Higgs expected - the only thing the charity will have to consider very carefully? The only thing they can't dismiss out of hand?

Can't they receive revenues from both? It's just hypothetical, but surely there's no law against having financial interests in two stadiums?

In theory they would receive revenue from both. Wasps would be charged rent and the revenue would in theory fund the build loans for a new stadium.

I do wonder if someone at the CET is being a bit mischievous with their choice of photos sometimes.
Anyhow, I'd see this as good news if they could just stop banging on about the new bloody stadium FFS! It gives the charity the perfect cover for turning down the bid to my mind, how can SISU say they want to develop stronger ties within the City whilst also in effect promising to take the club out of it.
The truth of it surely is that the bid's going nowhere regardless. Higgs want to sell to Wasps, the Council want them to sell to Wasps, and nothing the club do now will change that, imho.

Can you think of any reasons why it might not be a great idea to bid for the shares against wasps. Also at the same time announce you want to still build a seperate stadium that removes one of the business from the company you are half bidding for?

So what TF is saying in this piece is that owning 100% of a stadium that's half the size of the Ricoh, probably won't have hotel rent, probably won't have casino rent, probably won't have exhibition hall revenue, probably won't have rail links, probably won't be in a major motorway junction and therefore be less attractive to the magical 365 day a year income than it's nearest competitor, probably the Ricoh. On top of that it will be more expensive to build than buying a half share of ACL with little chance of a major supermarket getting on board and sharing the development costs like Tescos did at the Ricoh. On top of that your ever dwindling customer base that you've decimated for various reasons don't want it is a better option than owning a half share of ACL. How?
