To be fair i know we've heard it all before but it all sounds very positive and for once we can see a clear strategy the relationship with wasps sound very positive however it all got ruined when they mention new stadium. If talks with wasps are positive and we are moving towards more access to revenue that's great so lets stay and keep building the relationship. I do like the sound of everything else, they need to keep up this level of communication with fans and bridges will start to be built with fans. For once I'd like to see some action to the words tho so here's hoping. I'll give sisu and the club 7/10 for this one good effort.

P.s can we all discuss this news civilly and not start slagging each other off

Sounds good, but probably just rhetoric. Don't think aim 1 will go down well with supporters...

what a joke, an article designed to continue to string along the loyal supporters of our club !!

Heard it all before........

Thurs 1st Sept 2011

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/coventry_city/9578128.stm

"Since March the agenda should have been set by the club and owner, building bridges with our supporters and other stakeholders in the City."

Sept 26th 2013

"We’re taking the club in the right direction bar the emotional angst its given to fans"

11th July 2014

http://www.itv.com/news/central/upd...s-say-they-are-to-communicate-more-with-fans/

"We know we haven’t done enough to communicate with you. We want this to change. We promise to share as much as we can about what is going on."

in the words of the Elvis that actually knew what he was doing.....

"a little less conversation, a little more action"

Gotta love the fact that the final part of the article is them telling us how good they are at communication these days. That alone should tell us how much belief to put in everything else they say

It's all great in theory but as I've said every time they post one of these missives actions speak louder than words. Give us some detail on how they will achieve their objectives and show that they are making progress towards them and then maybe they'll start to get some fans on board.

Of course they shoot themselves in the foot by talking about how fantastic their communication is when one of the biggest complaints fro supporters is lack of communication!

What's that statement?
"If you tell somebody something for long enough, eventually they will believe it"
It's all mind games with Sisu...the mentally weak and gullible will swallow what they say hook, line and sinker!

they talk about being financially independant from the owner, but continue to charge us management fees of over 1m p.a ( far higher than the old rent) plus interest.
How is the club going to survive with those charges.

Maybe a tad unfair to say RFC is mentally weak and gullible:p

I also have to laugh when they talk about building relationships with businesses....have you noticed the complete lack of local companies advertising at our games? They talkabout Revenues 365 days a year; but are useless at attracting Revenues on the matchdays.
Local Businesses , just like the majority of fans, do not trust SISU. The bullshit just issued does nothing to adress this

Actions speak louder than words, particularly when the words have been repeated before with no action to follow them. The SCG is a stitch-up and updates on the new ground are not mentioned whatsoever. What happened to the new stadium committee headed by Garlick?

Did indeed notice that at the Chesterfield game. Couldn't get enough ad boards to go all around the pitch and half of the ones that were there were of the club.

In terms of the club DNA......we have defective Genes in the form of a management team/ owners who have reached their limit, constantly struggle to achieve and falter at a hint of rational business practice.

In theory I agree with all that the Club said.

It's New Year now though CCFC, where is the news regarding a new Stadium that we were told was coming?

"That can only be achieved by:-

• Building trust with the supporters
• Success on the field
• Clear communication
• Having a progressive fully-integrated first team-Academy model"

My view entirely. Now, how are we getting along on those points? Playing inexperienced youngsters? OK. The rest............... when do we start? We have had well over 7 years to do this and haven't even started on these points yet. If by "clear communication" you mean " three weeks " or Mr Strange and Mr Ward - who can't even agree on what little they have seen...then SISU obviously should invest in a dictionary as a first step.

If this Is the way we or they are going It's Imperative that Fisher walks as he's a massive hindrance In this respect along with several thousand missing fans .

Like It or not he's toxic and the need for a Local Entrepreneur to step up as Chairman Is paramount for this approach to garner every penny possible to the coffers.

Did you not see the part about the importance of owning our own ground? That was the big announcement ;)

I said that jokingly but would it actually surprise anyone if that turns out to be the case?

Lots of words that sound good but more like a political document.

No detail or timescales on how these aims will be achieved = same old same old

Stadium now long term??? This to me says, we can't do it

Stand alone financally = SUSI are not putting anymore money in

Looks like it was written by a lower sixth form Business Studies student who's been partying all Christmas, suddenly realised they've got a piece of homework to hand in next week, and is making up for poor grammar and inexperience of the subject with an over abundance of big words.

There are some fairly obvious problems highlighted (we need more revenues, we need to balance loan and permanent players, we need to work closer in the community, etc.) but very little in the way of solutions. And let's not forget these are all problems that anyone having done their due diligence when getting involved with the club should have known at the time, and SISU should have been working on the answers for the last 7 years.

No mention of any stadium details or Sandra Garlick's activities. Strange too that there's no acknowledgement that building bridges in the community is difficult when you keep taking the council to court (I know CCFC will say that it's SISU/ARVO/OTIUM doing this, but it only highlights how the owners actions contradict the aims of the football club).

Overall Mark: C-

Why would we want to be dependent on SISU putting in cash? We need to be non reliant on owners pumping in money and loading the club with debt, to do this we either a) cut our budget to manageable levels meaning we stay around our current level or b) look at increasing our revenue and how we can generate more income

A - Stay around this level or lower resulting in lower and lower gates, meaning less revenue because the product being supplied is dire.

B - We missed the opportunity to increase our revenue streams by being fucked over by the council and our owners being the cunts they acting like children, and not making a significant bid until the 11th hour.

C- There will be no new stadium as they do not have the financial capabilities to build this, this is just a shit statement to act like they have a vision for the future, so the fanbase lay off them and stay on side, but I'l hang on for everyone to start making threads getting excited at this and be taken for bigger cunts than we already have been.

Well according to Miss Garlick, she has stated that she "is in knowledge of the preferred location".

If that's the case then this knowledge needs to be disclosed to the fans, there is no point in building a Stadium on the Bermuda, for instance, if that was the preferred site fans could give feedback and the Club could establish that 90% of its mainstay fans would not support such a permanent move to that location.

We arent, we are cash flow positive

Mock it as much as you like, but they're right the Club does need to be self sufficient, not every owner will have the money to throw at us and FFP rules have been introduced to stop the latter.

And how do you propose they become self sufficient, as all we see is players sold and no adequate replacements provided within the playing squad, this has been a recurring cycle during their tenure, when it is plainly obvious, 1.5-2m investment into the playing squad, will get you out this league, gaining 5m plus from gaining championship status.

Why would businesses want advertising at the Ricoh when CCFC keep saying they are moving out ?
In addition advertising relates to TV coverage and we get very little in this division.

Overall there are some positive statements in there, particularly the bit about working with Wasps on sharing incomes.
Stadium seems to be a long term ambition now where before it was short to medium term.
At least this will give us an opportunity to fully investigate whether we can survive at the Ricoh, or not.

Isn't advertising done by the game or season? Would expect so in which case the lack of advertising isn't down to people thinking we're moving, more to do with a general distrust of SISU, it not being cost effective or not wanting to be associated with the CCFC 'brand'.

Surely, if we are cash flow positive, the article should read "CONTINUE to be financially independent". Why does it not say that and is says "aim to move to" ?

Also, surely one way to get to this position a little quicker is to not take any mamangement fees ?
