Let's face it, Nick slags off our fans for every single protest we've ever done, and he can't even deny that. Many of you lot on here can see that.

You aren’t going to make Nick suddenly become pro-protest. And he’s been solidly anti-anti-Sisu for ages. Maybe it’s because he’s contrary. Maybe it’s because he gets to feel special with the club. Maybe it’s because he wants to keep traffic on the site. Who knows, but there’s no point whining about it. Like Adge hating academy players or SBK mugging himself repeatedly, just learn to live with it.

This is where your argument falls down a bit.

How do I feel special with the club exactly? I could walk past anybody from CCFC and they wouldn't know me from Adam so how does that work? I have no links or ties with anybody at CCFC other than that I support them like everybody else.

Traffic.. Plenty of ways to get even more traffic, I could clickbait the shit out of things for starters. When I tweeted about the new signing yesterday I could have gone to town on the "click here to find out". Could really go to town if that was the case rather than just naming him on the tweet straight off with a screenshot of who it was.

I posted what I thought, nothing more or nothing less.

I’m sure at the least Tim admires you from afar. Don’t sound so dejected that it’s not been expressed in person to you.

Always know that as the pages of the thread expand the last few posts will be the middle of an argument. Liked Fleck, but we never quite made the best use of him. Good luck to him, Sheff Utd and to us. Happy New Year everybody xxx

End of the day, nothing us fans do will ever dislodge SISU, Ive gone past the angry stage, no point as they are going nowhere unless a very hefty bid coems in. No point getting wound up about things you can do fuck all about. We are shit, homeless and have the worse owners in the country. Sympathy or anger isn't going to change that.

spot on, its a fucking sport if people want to over react and be bellends we shouldn't lower ourselves theres alot more going on in life then freaking out about rival supporters taking the piss, just laugh it off let them to it karmas a bitch.

so to OP when ever i saw him play on tv you can see he has heart looks be flourishing there and doing well so ye did well picking him up our loss your gain.

I don't really care if Sheffield United fans sing 'SISU in' or whatever, it's up to them. What goes around comes around in football generally speaking.

This, but with punctuation. :)

(Sorry ISB, couldn't resist!)

Anyway, totally agree, Fleck has always been a class player, and I can't get too upset about away fans trying to wind us up when I hear the songs we sing at their grounds...

What has happened to us could happen to virtually any league club. Further down the line it could be Blades who are in trouble. I would hope that our fans would be more understanding to a club in crisis. The way that fans feel about their teams is irrational, but that love of a club is still there. I admire the way that someone will stick with Accrington or Crewe or even Sheffield Utd through thin and thinner. I know how they feel about their clubs because I feel the same about this one. To know this, as most football fans do, yet still try to verbally kick you when you are down is what annoyed most people. Even if they didn’t know all of the details, most Utd fans would have known we have been put in the mire by crap owners. To then taunt you about it when a club you love dearly is in danger of going out of existence was wrong. Only themselves and Northampton fans showed no empathy with what has gone on here. Almost all other fans have been sympathetic.
I am sure most Utd fans are fine, unfortunately every club has mouthy, brainless ejits who let their team and themselves down.

For what it is worth, I thought Fleck was good player for us who always played as though he cared and wanted to do the best for the team.

I remember that back pass Fleck made which handed Doncaster (I think) a goal a few years back. Terrible mistake.

A decent player for us, but never an absolute star.

He was also a key part of that side that somehow didn't get promoted in 2015/16. I can't remember a League 1 squad that strong, yet somehow we only managed 8th.

Hence their sudden drop from top spot to outside the playoffs?

That reminds me, I have nearly ran out of pins.

I despair of our fans, I really do...

When we have sung songs, such as Shit on the Villa, bastards in claret and blue, build a bonfire, etc.... do really really expect Villa fans to think we mean it, and actually get upset and think we are "scum"...?

Yet a few Sheffield Utd fans on an away trip, sing pro-SISU songs in an attempt to wind us up, and people on here are actually still upset and offended a year later.

Some of you really need to get a life, and/or some thicker skin.

Sheffield United fans are cunts, one got slapped by a 14 year old and Fleck phoned it in for the second half of his last season.

End of now left the pig fuck off

So why did no other clubs' fans sing it? I think that is the bone of contention. Away fans' supporters trusts and forums were approached asking for support to our plight last season and all away fans were respectful of our situation.

Except for Sheff Utd who decided to sing Sisu in instead of show solidarity.

THAT is what upset people.

Not rocket science and nowt at all similar to singing shit on the Villa.

It was like us going to Blackpool and singing pro Oyston songs.

I bet that would have gone down a storm up there!!

But if everyone thinks Sheffield Utd fans are such a bunch of Neanderthal idiots, then why get our pants in a twist when they sing a few songs. Who cares what they think or say, it was a deliberate wind up and amazingly appears to have worked.

Personally it didn't bother me. I always rise above it, but I could understand why many were bothered.

To be honest I had forgotten about it until it was mentioned again today.

We are not all the same and don't all react in the same way, but I could fully understand why it did annoy and irritate people.

Apologies, maybe I was thinking from when he first joined you then.

He should definitely be considered for the Scotland CM role but at the moment it’s probably helped us that he hasn’t been.

I’m not sure what he’s on with us but it won’t be big bucks...we have a wage policy in place which is something Wilder has instigated and something which in the past has fucked us up due to the lack of one and us attracting prem journeymen and has-beens looking for a retirement fund.

Mate if he gets more than your six pack of beef monster munch then he's better off with you

Not here to cause aggro...

Just wanted to seek your opinions on John Fleck...

Flecky (as he’s now affectionately known) has been an absolute gem for us, not sure how he was only 3rd choice for Cov...? Any insight on this?

He controls our midfield, puts stop to potentially dangerous attacks, comes up with the odd goal, passes very well and is genuinely one of the best United players I’ve had the pleasure to watch in many a year. He’s been a big factor in our ascendancy to the top half of the Champ.

Can’t believe you lads let him go.

I shagged this bird from Sheffield once called dirty shiela who had a wierd bit of bacony meat hanging from one of her flaps she give me a dose the c**t do you know her?

We seen the best of Fleck when he had Vincelot alongside him who done a lot of the donkey work. Fleck was the piano player while Vincelot was the piano pusher.
Hardly surprising that Fleck didn’t really come to the fore till his last season as he had Connor Thomas, Adam Barton et al alongside him.
