Was impressed with the West Brom ground (The Hawthornes) when I was there about four years ago. Seemed like it was really well maintained and looked after, in fact it made me think how Highfield Road could have been if we had stayed there and looked after it.

Really not sure where this is all going. He (as far as I know) has made no demands (fish finger sandwich not withstanding) and from the pictures his child is clearly 'safe and well'.

I reckon it is nothing more than one nutter with a gun (which could be fake). Police have backed them self into a corner here now. If the police had genuine concerns as to the safety of the child they would be going in, the fact that they are not makes them look a bit daft to me.

They also don't mention that as a matter of procedure they would contact Social Services to find out what they knew about the family. It is a good programme but they do not paint the whole picture.
