Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

I don't think purposely misrepresenting my actions or views are particularly helpful but I will refer the learned gentleman to an answer I made a few minutes ago in another thread :D http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/45045-More-united-than-we-realise?p=704108&viewfull=1#post704108

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

No it hasn't. It would be perfectly sensible to make dropping all or part of the JR part of the conditions for negotiating. How do I know this? Because that is exactly what a third party has been trying to do. There have also been offers for talks from Sisu which have been turned down by the...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

I was replying to sky blue john. I've edited my post accordingly.

    More united than we realise

And so we see the object of this exercise...make out that most people agree with 'the KCIC way' and so other groups (I wonder who he means? He never says! :D) are the 'small but noisy extremes'. How about this Michael: If you genuinely believe in fan unity stop slagging off other fans and...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

AFAIK, the document is part of disclosures pertaining to the upcoming JR so they can't be made public by anyone except the owners (e.g. CCC, ACL, Higgs) until they are attached to the skeleton argument / used as evidence. Obviously ML knows the valuation but can't disclose publicly without...

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

Wrong. The call for unity came from Michael Orton after we had appeared. We worked together on a proposal for the Sky Blue Trust meeting in November. Since the Council were responsible for us getting 10pts docked this season I’ve found out enough evidence to convince me that they have a lot to...

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

23 times this season @ Dickfields + two London demos + Arsenal FAC (all sides) + march last summer (all sides) + this summer's march (all sides) not enough? :D

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

The march is a Trust event AFAIK and we're waiting for confirmation of the details but yes, definitely. Spoke to SB the other day and he said he was waiting for dates...marches are a lot more work due to needing approval and so forth.

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

This is for all the people that complained that our petition hand-in demo was on a weekday when they were working / at school / college / etc. You can't please all of the people all of the time :D

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

This is a Get Cov Back to the Ricoh organised event but we’re holding this under the Take Us Home! banner as an event for all fans who want to get together and keep the issue of us playing away from Cov in the spotlight. To quote my mate Stuart Cosgrove: “This will be the first full...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

WRT Ann Lucas it is because she is leader so represents the Council as a whole. In an ideal world our slate would have been against Ann Lucas (Lab, Holbrook), Michael Gammon (Con, Earlsdon) Phil Townsend (Lab, Lower Stoke) & Julia Lepoidevin (Con, Woodlands) based on leadership (AL & PT) and...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

Very important distinction needs to be highlighted here. The judge referred to the decision on costs as a nil-nil draw, not the outcome of the case. IIRC Simon Gilbert reported the latter but the transcript says otherwise.

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

Not wanting to step into a good ol' Friday Night Fight Night on SBT  but I'll pick up on a few things from yesterday and move onto more a bit later. This is pretty spot on in my view. Brian / GCBTTR aren’t pushing a particular strategy apart from ‘get round the table and negotiate’...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

I'll dip in with a quick reply to a point that has come up a few times and then catch up with the rest in the morning. 'Political opportunist' The story behind Brian standing is this... I'd had chats with a few people over the past few weeks who had all mentioned Brian as someone to approach...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

Labour. From the press release: He became a Labour councillor in a by-election in 1997 and remained a councillor until he was barred from standing by the party in the 2008 local elections. He said: ‘This was because I refused to accept a written warning for abstaining on a vote in Full Council...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

It's all part of a wider strategy by all fans groups to try and get these people back round the table to sort this out. Brian standing against the council leader puts an extra bit of pressure on the council side of the equation. We're working on having some interesting things come out over the...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

A few more things We spoke to a lot of people about standing (I have the fried ear to show for it) and a couple of people more would have stood but for work or health reasons. Most of the others, understandably, were worried about crossing the line into the bear pit of local politics and all of...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

So nominations closed at 4pm today and we have a candidate standing in Holbrook ward (note singular for election ward name). Here's an extract from the press release that went out earlier (full version here): A former councillor is to stand on a ‘Get Cov Back To The Ricoh’ platform against...
