Do you think we will learn after this is all over?

I think we used to be good (in April to June) at respecting each other's personal space (otherwise known as Social Distancing) and being polite to each other (waiting for people to pass in a supermarket aisle, for example). That was until some clown in government decided to ignore the advice and...

    Anyone booked a holiday yet?

We have a ski apartment booked in the French Alps in March - would be our first time away since same time last year, as everything else we had planned was cancelled or postponed. Can't see it happening that soon though. Bollocks! Have a week booked in a remote cottage on Loch Awe in Argyll in...

    Things that annoy you

Well i haven't done an in-depth literature review in the past 10 minutes, no! :) But here's one for starters ... Air and Environmental Contamination Caused by COVID-19 Patients: a Multi-Center Study - PubMed And one from our shores (again from hospitals, which contradicts the Italian study)...

    Things that annoy you

That's a pile of horse-shit! Their correspondence to the Lancet relates to their "research" (published in March and May) and relates to hospital wards only. They use the caveat " provided that standard cleaning procedures and precautions are enforced". This may be achievable in a hospital...

This woman does it for me ... I'll resist the temptation to fall into the trap of using smut and innuendo (positions or openings, etc).. D'oh!! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55217285

    Explosion in Avonmouth

Yep that would do it. I would think that an organisation the size of Wessex Water (with no prosecutions or improvement notices in the past 10 years) would have safe systems of work in place. The key thing to investigate is whether they were being followed, or whether the management exercised...

    Things that annoy you

I agree that we should build more cycle paths, but there will still be the radical cycling brigade who don't use them when they are there - CUNTS! They have been built at taxpayers' expense for your safety and convenience - it should be mandatory to use them when they exist. You lot on...

    Explosion in Avonmouth

I'd be interested to know what they were doing up there. Clearly some type of maintenance (as one of them was an external contractor) - soldering something close to a methane build-up, maybe? Obvs that is just speculation, but spontaneous combustion is a more remote possibility. The HSE will be...

    Explosion in Avonmouth

Seemingly not chemical-related. Was material from an anaerobic digestion tank (i.e. human waste), so likely build-up of methane etc. Something clearly went badly wrong, but fires in these things are not uncommon.

If she had been drawn by a graphic designer for a computer game or something, the producer would say "Nah, you've got that all wrong - no-one looks like that"! Odd girl, but great actress.

According to Which?, it probably was! Most stuff supposedly "on sale" over Black Friday fortnight has been cheaper earlier in the year. It's a fooking con!!

    Things that annoy you

It's quite widespread now, i believe. In South Worcestershire (Wychavon District) we pay £55 a year for a brown wheelie bin, collected fortnightly, same day as dry recyclables.

    Things that annoy you

Certain higher education institutions in the area suffer from the same thing, as well as having a "post tortoise" policy ... While stitching a cut on the hand of a 75 year old farmer, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to politicians and...
