Right who's the next manager then?

Thought it was the national team as they kicked off about training intensity? Suarez in particular

    Head Coach rather than Manager

If the players are not good enough recruitment heads will roll Time will tell if the current signings are bad but from what I've seen I think they ain't a waste of money and in right set up could hit form. Hopefully anyway

    Head Coach rather than Manager

Happens alot outside of England They do training and tactics They will say what attributes or type of player they need in squad rather than names they need and recruitment team sort it

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

Because I see bad results as down to tactics and bad luck recruitment wise that's all Also don't see it close to relegation worries either Like an RPG we are grinding and soon have enough points to beat the boss battles

You think haviNG sub standard facilities and selling players cheap and not spending on incomings is a better model just cos robins was employed? Not too mention overhaul every summer due to loans and not permanents

I have avoided nothing. The results on the pitch will come in time Currently I'm happy with the value of the squad and the potential for future sales model.

I get that but imo it's not what I see on the pitch. By that I mean I still dont feel we make lots of chances. Well not on a dominating fashion anyway. I never really see us carve teams apart well not at least consistently. I understand the stats may say different but I'm looking forward to us...

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

We do need some signings but for me it's also a tactical issue Whilst I'm fully aware a new manager may do worse with same squad I am also v open to the idea that someone else comes in and does better than robins was with them

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

You are being short sighted. We have a talented young squad on the pitch and off it we hire analysists etc plus sorting training facilities out. We're in a good position to kick on now and perhaps a new manager will get the best out of the squad this season let alone long term?

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Nov

We have seen it many times where a new manager comes in and stamps his style immediately. Silly not to see why king has done this and what he wants as na outcome at least.

Would that not also indicate perhaps tactics were an issue?

    Doug King out

Most clubs in Europe operate a head coach model. Only really here that the manager role is still a thing isn't it?

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

Robins kept the sisu model working. When robins decided to leave on his own accord we would be up shit creek as we were reliant on him. Now at least we have a model that is sustainable wether you like it or not it's silly to say sisu days were better
