    The new signings so far

Tbf Sheffield United play a different type of football to us so although O'Hare is playing in the 10, he is asked to play that role in a different way to how he played for us, he picks the ball in different positions, links up play differently, etc. so much better to compare Rudoni against...

    XG

    Yep, it's bollocks.

    Lati

He's played around 150 first team games for us, Swansea and FC Twente and has played DM just 5 times, all for us. He plays there for Jamaica as they have a dearth of quality in their squad.

    Lati

    Because it's never happened.

    Sheaf

So what you're saying is this Aug 2023 - ineffective coaching set up Sep 2023 - ineffective coaching set up Oct 2023 - ineffective coaching set up Nov 2023 (first half) - ineffective coaching set up Nov 2023 (second half) - effective coaching set up Dec 2023 - effective coaching set up Jan 2024...

    Sheaf

Or it could be just a perfect storm of everything clicking together at the same time, with lots of players having a purple patch and over achieving.

He didn't set up the goal, he had a shot and his shot was blocked and rebounded out of the box to Mowett. I'd have said the same regardless of the defender.

He's backing off as he's trying to show him line and not overcommit himself allowing to the player to cut onto his favoured left foot. He's also in the box, so doesn't want to over commit himself and give away a penalty. His backing off worked as the lad does cut in on his right foot and Bidwell...

    Sheaf

Agreed, it also looks like in Lampards system he wants Sheaf to sit Infront of the back 4 and not drive forward.

I'm pretty sure he played as a number 9 for WBA for most his games, with Swift behind him in the ten. I'm fact I've just checked back at the Cov Tel article about him from the WBA reporter and he confirmed he played as a number 9 leading the line.

Yeah from the replay's Rudoni didn't call for it. And it's his call, he's the one who can see both Torp and the flight of the ball.

    Lati

I thought Lati was poor tonight if I'm being honest. He is not comfortable on his left hand side, and was too slow with his passing, and 90%+ of the passes he did make were cutting back inside to Thomas. We really need a left foot at LCB. He did ping one decent ball though.

Nah, it is we definitely Sheaf and Collins fault 🤦‍♂️

I'm not sure they would have in that position, we weren't stretched, both CBs are in good positions to stop him.

From that screen shot Sheaf can only foul him.

They did, it looked like they got a bit leggy, but as soon as they made their 3 changes, they took back control of the game.

The thing is WBA never got out of second gear, we were marginally better but still pretty poor.

I really don't understand what BTA was trying to there.
