    Boddy and Comms at Club

Tbh I'm not that concerned by these delays, it's a bit odd, but it'll be sorted I'm sure. That said, it does amaze me how triggered and upset some people get if the clubs commercial operations are criticised or questioned, it's like they take it personally.

What's way over the top, saying it's a bit strange but it will no doubt be sorted and there must be a valid reason? Proper hyperbolic that!

    Boddy and Comms at Club

The fact match tickets are not on sale is a bit odd though? I know it'll be sorted, I expect an announcement in the next couple of days, but it doesn't make a huge amount of sense. Given the noise the club made about cash flow when explaining why ST sales were delayed, you surely get tickets on...

    Hamer

He has been excellent since he arrived, and has won player of the season two years on the bounce. He did kick on last season, but the bar was already very high. This division has seen countless players bought for £1 million that have not got anywhere near Hamer's level, it just isn't that easy.

    Leicester away

It has always staggered me that two of England's largest provisional cities, just 20 miles apart, don't have a direct train link. I doubt such a situation doesn't exists anywhere else in Europe. Would normally get train but have to get coach. Getting to Sky Blue Tavern for 7am opening, assuming...

    Season tickets

Exactly, £7-£8 a game more is perfectly reasonable. I was responding to a post and other comments suggesting £35 for every game would be justified and I was saying that was excessive and penalised those who cannot commit to a ST (exiled fans for example) more than was reasonable.

    Season tickets

I can see a lot of Boro fans peppering their twitter admin for details of tickets for our game, but are being told they have yet to receive any details from us. I don't suspect there is an issue here other than we're in no rush, but it is a tad late.

You seem to be suggesting all those missed chances were a positive? OK fine. It's about opinions and we're clearly miles apart. Like Godden, appreciate what he has done for the club, and I was of course exaggerating to make a point, but he's had a poor pre-season imo. Maybe just lacking...

    Hamer

You might well be right there, but I don't understand why nobody is bidding. Why are they no clubs trying their luck at around £5-£7 million? Surely if he was genuinely open to a move his agent would be touting him round everywhere. Who knows, the wanting to move home suggestion might well be...

    Hamer

Fine, so we accept £3 million from Luton? Your're then in to the realms of it possibly being more sensible to keep him and having a go. Making the play offs alone is worth not far off that. Then we have to consider that he might not want to move anyway. What do you think is the minimum amount...

    Hamer

What would you do? On the one hand, you're shouting down those advocating that we let him play out his contract, for perfectly understandable reasons, but you're also acknowledging he's not worth very much right now and that we wouldn't make much from a sale - all while completely ignoring the...

    Hamer

But it's not in our power to do anything about it (if the stories of him wanting to go home are true). If he wants to run out his contract, he can, there is fuck all we can do.

It was more the contrast between your comments about Godden and Palmer, given that I thought Godden looked like someone who had won a competition yesterday* and that Palmer was excellent. I didn't see much evidence of straightforward passes being put out of play, there were a couple of straight...

Fuck me, how do people get through life being so literal? Yeah, I was definitely accusing him of being pissed and it wasn't a tongue in cheek comment at all.

    Team to play Leicester

That's great news, not so worried about us being a little undercooked now.

    Who can replace him?

Exactly, if that's what he wants we simply can't stop him, and as long as he gives his all we're not going to drop him either. Unfortunately, we may just have to take it on the chin.

Have they only played the one friendly (Northampton) before today? That can't be right!?

You've praised Godden who was wearing his slippers yesterday and somehow managed to get a dig in at Palmer who was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. Some good cider down there?
  19. T

    Hamer

So we have no choice but to let him run down his contract then? He holds all the cards, we can accept any bid we like, but he can just refuse. Do we drop him in that scenario?
  20. T

    Hamer

Not even if we offer silly money? If that's the case then, we have 2 choices, let him run down his contract and leave on a free, or accept a bid of around £5 million tops and try to force him out.
