    The Queen

The queen is the last bit of glue that binds Great Britain together. When she goes it's the end of empire, commonwealth, the union of 4 nations and probably the monarchy IMO. Many people holding back, awaiting her demise, out of the very great respect in which she is held by a majority. I dread...

    Crowd trouble

For those suggesting keeping away fans in just be aware that the car parks are still pretty full of cars queueing to leave and there are still hundreds of people around at 5.30 plus the roads and shopping centre are rammed until at least an hour post match. Unless coaches are placed outside the...

    Atmosphere

    1. There were a few more masks in the first few games in the concourse. 2. Attendance is bigger now so concourse is more crowded 3. Cases have surged since then so IMO more caution is advisable not less. It is relevant since it may be linked to what is a carefree / 'I can do what I like and if...

    Atmosphere

Singers corner more interested in boozing, trolling Derby fans and going for a piss today. Looked across 5 minutes before half time and half the corner was empty so I assume the rest were in the concourse. Very unpleasant, rowdy atmosphere in the concourse before the game. Nobody wearing masks...

Care to name a non-Tory woman MP you like or at least respect? I'll wait.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Maybe "principled" is the wrong word. I mean she has strong political views and generally sticks to them even when it is unpopular. She is also willing to admit she got things wrong such as abstaining on the referendum vote when she now believes she should have voted against. I like leaders who...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Lisa Nandy has several points that will put off certain voters - Northern Lefty Principled - ie. Critical of own party Woman Remainer If she were Southern Righty Unprincipled - ie. Vote as instructed Man Leaver Then she'd be the next Tory leadership candidate

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You seriously think Labour should say, "sorry we neglected you and your towns" to Leave constituencies? Why on earth when it's not the case? You also think these voters should be a higher priority than Remain constituencies? I repeat 2/3 of Labour voters were Remain. I find it baffling that 52%...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Absolutely, and I'm not trying to rerun the whole thing. Too late for that. But I am trying to explain how Labour got in a mess trying to keep their Leave voters onside instead of taking a clear stand against Brexit. It was difficult but by trying to placate everyone they pleased no-one. IMO...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

We'll have to disagree amicably then. The 'will of the people' is a nonsense phrase to me. We are all individuals and there is no fixed will or opinion. Such a notion is fascistic as it imagines a collective which doesn't exist. The people who got to vote didn't include British residents who...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Again, you may be right but don't underestimate how strongly millions of Remainers feel. It will be a factor in pulling many Labour leaning voters towards Greens, LDs, SNP and PC. Enough to stop Labour in many constituencies.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think you may be right. But Labour would have split and we may have sèen a new centre party/alliance or lost the votes of me and millions of others. It may have been a better outcome than what we have now.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Asking people to reflect and rethink is not calling them stupid otherwise you could never have new elections. Democracy is thought to be the best way to arrive at good outcomes. Changing your mind is strength not stupidity. It's why in every contract you will ever sign there are get out clauses...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I didn't say Labour Remain voters. In any case, if you are Labour leaning and voted Leave why would you characterise Labour as backstabbing as opposed to allowing you to change your mind? You could still choose the Tories if you still wanted Brexit without feeling angry or aggrieved at Labour...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

That isn't true. Many Remain voters did vote Tory. They were persuaded that "Get Brexit done" was all that mattered. Yet the Tories and Brexit parties combined got under 50% of the vote. There was a potential to unite the anti-Brexit vote and then who knows what the GE would have seen, but...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

"Stab them in the back" or "Allow a chance for a rethink"? Labour's timidity and fence sitting over Brexit lost both Leavers and Remainers as I feared it would all along. From day one Labour should have labelled it "Tory Quitters" and had nothing to do with it. But we all know Labour was too...
