    Please elaborate...

    Andy Thorn's sacking

Yeah; I think everyone involved would love to just shift him back to being Head Scout - but obviously it can't happen.
  3. @richh87

    Cheers Thorny

How simple the world you live in is. Must be nice! Sod context - in your world a Manager with a 30% win ratio and a £100mil budget is better than one with a 29% win ratio and no budget. :D

    Andy Thorn's sacking

Thorn's scouting ability is unquestionable IMO - and that is a useful strength as a Manager. Unfortunately it isn't enough to be a good Manager. He's a quality Scout - and i'm sure a team in a higher league than us will pick him up.

    Cheers Thorny

Genuine thanks for bringing some great talent to the club on the cheap; not just as Manager but also as Scout. Hope he gets a quality scouting job somewhere - he's well worth one.

    Andy Thorn's sacking

Was it ever confirmed that he'd been given a new contract? I wouldn't be surprised if he was on a rolling contract and cost nothing to sack him.

    I have a horrible feeling............

Even I, as a Thorn apologist, think that now he's gone there's no room to f*ck about. We have talented players - we now need a tactician. Good luck Andy; I liked your style of play and ability in the transfer market.

    I have a horrible feeling............

There's a worse one in my opinion... ...If Steve Cotterill comes near the Ricoh Arena I won't be.

    where's hoffman ?

Yes you're right. Whatever SISU want they should get.
  10. @richh87

    where's hoffman ?

Only an idiot would pay what SISU want for the club. It may never happen - but the guy has tried and not promised anything.

Thorn: Wants the same performance as 2nd half and waiting on a prem loan

So what you're trying to say Otis is that there's not enough criticism of Thorn on this site. Maybe start a thread?

    Paul Robinson

I see the "not had a pre season" thing as a pathetic excuse. Many players just get on with it and get match fit.

    Paul Robinson

I wouldn't want to play against him - he'd break my legs. Sign him up!

    4-4-2

Wrong. Everton didn't play 4-4-2. If they did please tell me who partnered Jelavic up front? Fellaini was back in central midfield when Man Utd were attacking. 4-4-1-1 would be closer to the truth.

Yeah, I certainly seem to be in the minority on that opinion Wingy. Maybe i'm expecting too much of them. I just thought that their play in the final third was a bit amatuerish. I remember lots of simple passes down the wings by them being sliced out of play which i'd never seen so much of in a...

    Sky Sports app statistics

Yep, it was hoof - and due to Wood and Brown shitting it everything they were in possession.

    The Football League Show

That goal of theirs was a clear handball and we had many more chances than them so that's one good thing to take away.

Sorry just to clarify, McSheffrey was playing at the tip of the diamond, I meant to write that Wood and Brown kept lumping it towards McDonald and Elliot. It showed a real lack of intelligence and composure and Thorn was really pissed off on the touch line. As NLHWC says - hopefully this is...

I'm sorry but Cranie and Keogh were always more than willing to receive the ball and pass it around the back 4. That doesn't automatically mean we should've lost less games away, weird comment.

Just got back after a bit of a detour. That was one shit game. The problem for me is that where last season we had Keogh and Cranie getting involved with passing moves, we now have a pair of panicky cloggers in Wood and Brown. This meant we couldn't keep possession and create. Even when we...
