Request from Macca granted Cov 4 Spurs 3 Dec 1986

The day before the game we played QPR on their plastic pitch and I went and we lost 3-1 and were quite poor. Wasn't in the mood for Spurs the next day, thought it was the usual cov, coming down like the decorations after Xmas. Lived near highfield road followed the game on Mercia Sound, at 3-2...

    Clarke's tweeting .... Again

Clark played well the back end of last season, particularly going forward, however this season even when RB he looked a liability and quite weak. If I was him I would drop the twitter account and nuckle down to try to displace Christie

    Pointless Football Rules

A foul in the box that prevents a clear scoring opportunity = professional foul = penalty + defender being sent off. The penalty is sufficient reward, sending off is a double punishment. Professional fouls like Willie Young on Paul Allen in the 1980 cup final was when the player was outside...

    Home Truths

Baker sounded like he played well and his second goal was quality and I hope he goes on to continue to play well and score more but the fact that in the last week he has managed to double the number of goals from the previous 3 years is probably a key reason he is not seen as the second Messi

    Mystery Loan Player

Don't see left back as our problem area, midfield lack of pace and 2013 less DMG are our big issues

Who else is jealous of Pompey

In hindsight I would have rephrased the title differently, a lot of the posters have stated how unfair it is and how we can take the moral high ground etc... all true but can you imagine the buzz around Fratton Park a chance to be optimistic about the future a new start, learn from their...

Who else is jealous of Pompey

but as fu.k up goes there's was huge compared to ours, yet there is light at the end of the tunnel for them, ownership of their stadium by the club is a realistic proposition ours is just a pipe dream involving so many parties , charities, local councils who are governed by clear rules. IMO...

Who else is jealous of Pompey

Well I am definitely in a minority on this one, just to emphasize I don't like portsmouth but I wish we were in their position rather than in our current position. The proof will be where the respective clubs are in the next few years, CCFC with shitsu and Pompey with a fan owned club. A few...

Who else is jealous of Pompey

OK we have the moral high ground we won the FA cup legitimately they bought it with players that they clearly couldn't afford, they have been in admin a few times leading to non-payment of their debts, I'm not jealous of that but I am jealous that they seemed to be able to wipe the slate clean...

Who else is jealous of Pompey

I don't want to be a pompey fan I would just love us to be in their position, the thought of a bright future a buzz around the ground, the club saved by and owned by the fans, rather than faceless Shitsu.

Who else is jealous of Pompey

Their debt was off the radar, compared to ours, also a lot of our debt was due to the Ricoh fiasco. Just doesn't seem fai.

Who else is jealous of Pompey

Our 12th season since relegation. In that time Pompey got promoted, invested money that they didn't have won the FA cup, played in europe, went into administration got relegated went into administration again owing millions of pounds got relegated again. Now the supporters are set to buy the...

I Remember Loving It At The City When.........

The biggest crime in that semi was not Hodge cheating at the free kick but Perace's challenge on Kevin Gallagher in the first leg would have been a straight red now - it was the old fashioned "let them know you're there challenge" designed to intermediate - and unfortunately it worked. We were...

    Andy Thorn back....

"errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" "the boys were really up for it in training" "errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" "Platty, sammy, Jukey" "errrrrrr" "no not planning to go back into management just yet, looking for a break" "errrr" "are you having that last biscuit" "errrrrrr""where is the canteen" "errrr" "is it a set menu"

Phil Brown - New Hartlepool Boss

The fact that Hartlepool is the only job that Phil Brown could get is proof that he isn't good enough for us. we may loose to them on Saturday but we are and will always be a bigger and better club and a higher profile job. Can't believe cov fans ever really wanted him.

As bad as sammy was last year and also Deegan the pitbull poodle was I would take them over our current midfield.

    Saturday

Not convinced by either, fleck is clearly skilful but does not have the fitness level to impose himself on a game. Jennings runs around a lot a poor man's Michael doyle. Now that Baker has had his 1 godd game in 10 we need connor thomas back asap.

    McDonald - Am I alone

I still think that there is a good player in cody but has not had a decent run in the side due to injury and lack of fitness. 25 in 41 games in L2 is no fluke. Like so many he has under performed with zero confidence.
