That's the way to go about it. Less speed. More miles. I've mentioned it about a million times on here... and quite welcome anyone to tell me to "bugger off".... but until someone is running comfortably at least 4 times a week steadily, then adding in hard interval sessions is only a...

    Running

You won't get a "one size fits all answer for that".... otherwise everyone would do the same amount of miles and have the same times... I'm doing 60-70 per week, yet struggling to break 18mins. But CrawleySkyBlue possibly doing slightly less but nearer to 17mins. But to a general pattern, the...

Did 13 miles cross-country on sunday. Following the network of footpaths out from Ash Green, along the M6 towards Birmngham, then a big clockwise loop via Fillongley and Astley to bring me back home. Today was 8 x 800mtrs. Actually i could only manage 6.... a quick look at my records and i was...

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

Well I think it's quite clear from my post that I'm no fan of Waps (quite an understatement actually). However I do live in "reality" and am able to not spout off a load of abuse at every Wasps fan I see. You're welcome to go ahead and write whatever you like about them... I just think you're...

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

You know, I finally logged out of my account on here a couple of days ago. Just sick of constant bitching on every subject. Logged back in today to read about the Ricoh deal, and really wish I hadn't bothered. Just more of the same. I think barely anyone on here is really happy with the entire...

It is unrealistic but... Own the Ricoh (at least half of it at least) or Build a new stadium at Warwick Uni?

I've got to say, the UOW location is no better (and possibly even slightly worse) than the Ricoh. And as people have stated above, transport and parking issues are likely to feature just as heavily. I understand the appeal (and personally i'd be all for it)..... it is a potential chance to...

Only other ones i can think of in Bedworth that are remotely hilly... Bayton Road, up to the crossroads at the Black Horse End Smarts Road from the rugger club end up towards Cross Keys

It depends on your definition of a "good hill"... In Bedworth i can only really think of Rectory Drive, which is several hundred metres bottom to top. There's more in some of the Cov housing estates, but the best one in Cov for me is the Medical Block Hill at Warwick University, which is only...

Greatest Manager Of All Time ?

But hasn't Mourinho had top budget everywhere he's been (granted he won the Champions League with Porto, but it's still a cup competition). He's had all the money in the world at every other club. Then at Manchester United and Spurs, where you could say his budget has only been huge, rather...

    Running

Was just on roads & pavement. The section from Bulko to Aldermans Green was 90% no pavement, but the road was very quiet. The rest was just main roads. Main road from Old Crown/Bird In Hand into Bell Green, then down the main road to the A444 at Gallagher . Stoney Stanton Rd, Swanswell Park...

Yep, can't go wrong with the pegasus. If you're ever near a Nike Factory Outlet (the nearest one is at Resorts World) then you can usually find the previous model for around £75 or less. And if you're lucky you might find a model from a coupe of editions previous, (which i've snapped up for £50...

    Ricoh Return

I should add to the above... We need to get back to the Ricoh for now. Whatever it's faults, being away from the city is damaging the club. However by the same token, we shouldn't go back "at any cost"

    Ricoh Return

I've never really got the "it's too far from the centre" or the "no pubs" comments. It's close (albeit on the edge) of some CCFC heartlands... Foleshill, Holbrooks, Bedworth, Longford. And there are enough pubs in walking distance, more than a lot of grounds. However i accept it isn't as...

    Todays games

Well, we are through our run of very tough fixtures, and not in the bottom three as many suggested, in fact we are probably doing a lot better than anyone expected. We do need to replicate this situation from earlier in the season, and up the points-per-game ratio over the next 5 or 6.

    Running

Ran a mile flat out time-trial this morning. 5:21 Previous best was 5:23 which i was in a proper track race, so a couple of seconds faster in non-race conditions i'm pretty happy with. I reckon i could get a bit nearer to 5:10 in a competitive race on the track.

    Feb 27th 1999

I remember the 4-1 game... it was not far off being the peak i've what i've seen watching City. The 1-0 in the cup the year before, we deserved, but it was between two closely matched teams. But the 4-1 we really were the best team in the Midlands. Dublin took some awful stick off the City...

    Match Thread Swansea

Sounds bad, but genuinely don't mind what happens as long as Sheff Weds don't win. And would take a draw now in any circumstances.

    Ricoh Return

I often run round past the Ricoh, and to be honest it looks like a stadium that has seen better days, and definitely not a "new" stadium. Ok i understand it is something like 15 years old now, but it certainly hasn't aged well in that time.

    Will we stay up ?

Even the Brentford result was based on very small margins... The penalty could easily (and probably should) have been saved... and then who knows, but i suspect without that good fortune it's reasonable to assume we may well have got no more than a point out of that game. Small margins...
