Well I will make the trip. But then I don't care that much about franchises - football or rugby - they are the way of the world. We are customers of a business - every football fan is. Always thought the MK move made complete sense and I really enjoyed the one day out I have had at Wasps ( it reminded me of watching Sky Blues in the 60's in terms of atmosphere and joy).

Doubtful.
A league 2 club playing a club at the wrong end of league 1.
I think the general rule of picking games for TV is normally a prem team playing a lower league team away (so the lower league team gets the revenue) or a local derby or it just looks like a decent fixture that'll get viewing numbers up.
We fall under zero of those boxes so I'd be very surprised if we're on the box

I absolutely agree that everyone who goes should enjoy the day, Christ knows every city fan here deserves a good day out after the crap we've had to put up with.

However the rest of your post makes little sense to me unless you're trying to justify something to yourself that you're not entirely comfortable with.

My choice, which I know puts me in a very small minority, is never to directly put money in the pockets of those who own MK Dons by going to a game there. (Using your analogy, if you're continuing to make a profit from something that's wrong, then I guess I can't see how you can have 'served your time'.)

I know that my individual action will have no impact on MK Dons, and I'm not here to virtue-signal or try to convince anyone else to do the same.

Regardless, I don't see how my belief hurts anyone other than me, because I'm sure it'll be a cracking day out. And I seriously doubt that MK Dons supporters will be crying to their dads because I'm not there!

Let's be honest here, you're never going to convince me that I should go, and I wouldn't dream of trying to tell anyone that they shouldn't.

What you're doing is exactly what you're accusing others of though, which is to try to make yourself feel better about it.

There's genuinely no need mate. Go. Enjoy. Win! Tell me about it later in the pub!

Allocation I think. They took 8800.

Bearing in mind we took near 7000 having just the bottom tier, there is room, it depends on police etc. There hasn't been any problems at Coventry matches this season away and obviously no protests this year.

People on twitter should tweet the club, telegraph and observer to try and get them to push this campaign

People need to get tickets early too as these things usually need momentum as people will then start to panic and snap up their tickets earlier than usual

Much better draw than city or united in my opinion will be a tough but winnable game, huge away following, chance to go round 5, more prize money if we get through too

Agreed, but I'm not going to risk booking train tickets before the date is confirmed. I was close to booking train tickets for Wycombe, but then had a last minute thought about checking when the 4th round is due to be played 'just in case' we beat Stoke. I actually feel quite smart, for once, now!

Yeah, it's always best not to gamble and buy train tickets in advance for big football matches and certainly not to buy too many of them I would say.

Didn’t city fans trash the bar in the concourse a couple of years back? Not 100% but seem to recall something. That could go against us taking lots of fans

Bloody hell its an away game in the Cup, why are a lot making a big thing about it ? You go to follow your team and that's it.I've been there twice and it was great to be there among a huge City following, surely that's what we like isn't it ?

No, the ticket prices remember? Ooh I can’t afford it - they should have charged a tenner then we could have switched the tie to Wembley and filled it.

You, Tony and Last enjoying your pathetic little gloating giggle over Cov fans wanting to support their team? Massive difference between going to support a franchise rugby team who have moved into your city and supporting your own team, desperate for cash, in a cup tie where we get 45 percent of the money.

Well you've just mentioned three people who have never watched Wasps and who go to watch city. I for one haven't missed a home game in any competition this season and only 4 away. So shut the fuck up

Cheers Duffer - I know exactly where you are coming from, and completely respect your stance. I guess it's very patronising to say that someone is only doing something to make themselves feel better, and I realise I started it

However, you're wrong about me not being comfortable with going to MK - it gives me no qualms whatsoever, and nor did it on the two previous occasions I've been. Whilst utterly disapproving of what happened to Wimbledon, I can't imagine taking it out on the innocent supporters of MK, especially after all this time. Obviously MK fans won't miss your individual presence, but if they were permanently treated as a pariah by everyone in the country, surely that would ruin their enjoyment and ultimately destroy their club.

If there was a way to target the people who were in the wrong without hurting anyone else, I guess I'd do it. The situation is a bit like hostage taking - if I could safely shoot the offender I would, but they've got the hostage right in front of them.

In our own ways, we are both just doing what we feel, and it's good there are no hard feelings either way. Re the pub - who's buying

What happened re. the old Wimbledon and MK Dons was a disgrace we all know that, but it happened can’t change it thankfully a re-born Wimbledon are back and moved on. From that farce there are rules now in place to prevent a similar thing happening in our football world and thank heavens for that because I’m certain our own Mr Fisher had ideas to move our beloved ccfc permenantly away from Coventry.

Just seen this Stupot - I can assure you that nothing was further from my mind. People who oppose the MK thing and/or Wasps, and feel strongly enough about it to act upon it, have my complete respect. It's only the constant accusations of hypocrisy/double standards/immorality that fly in the opposite direction which make me get shirty (and I tend to regret it afterwards )

It always struck me as so, there is a quote of him talking about the FA relaxing their rule from 8 miles from the City centre which would just about bring the NEC into range (or at least the site of the proposed HS2 interchange which is near the NEC just East of the M42).
