Think you would have more luck starting a crowd funding page trying to get fans, ex players etc to put money in and hope it starts something big off, if after a few months there not much going on then spend whatever money is achieved in spending money on an advert on prime time TV slating the owners and trying to force their hand all while getting a lot of national publicity

tbf, I prefer the thought of the advert popping up in the middle of Corrie, that'd be superb :D

Can it star the Chuckle Brothers and be directed by John Boorman?

I just think a lot of the talk on here is just utter bullshit with lack of ideas and ambition, typical Coventry ways, lots of talk, lack of ambition and always dwelling on the past!

Although the structure of the advert might just have been taking the piss ;) I did actually genuinely like that idea!

Just make sure it's not a deathly serious advert though. Better to laugh at them then go all melodramatic...

What about a letter to Mexican Carlos Slim only worth about 70billion dollars and football daft apparently, what better than a daft fucker with billions running the club, mind you just looked he's 76 be just our luck for him to kick the bucket just as he was about to nab us.

He definitely is a Coventrian, he was brought up in the same road as I was born & brought up in.
Was it Burlington Road? I saw you mention a street that's now a footpath/bridge in the other thread. I grew up round the corner in Lowther St

Yep, I was born in Burlington Road. A stones throw from Highfield Road. I went to Freddie Birds until we moved to Copsewood in 1966.

How about we contact Netflix or Amazon about a new documentary like the class of 92.

Then we find loads of players from around here that people know about.

I reckon

Gary McSheffrey
Nigel Winterburn
Marcus Hall
Sky Blue Kid
Lloyd McGrath
Trevor Peake
Oggy

Then every week they can have a guest doing something:

Lisa Lashes
Panjaba MC
The Enemy
Somebody off of the Specials

People involved in football investment are rarely fans, those days have gone, Sullivan was a Birmingham fan now he is a hammer, Ken bates was Mr Chelsea and then Leeds. They are looking for an investment, one that will make money and increase their profile. People with big bucks want to be associated with success not a basket case like us

He bought up all the remaing 'survival appeal' shares in Real Oviedo in N. Spain for about €2.5m I think. It was the day after I bought my 6 shares for £50............
