Or they could have offered a deal that the club could not accept.

Then say something vague about background legal noise to make everyone's favourite interloper the good guys.
That is of course possible. Doesn't make it necessarily true though.

There's too much we don't know and it's okay to have an opinion, but we can't state anything as fact (Butts/JR's/CCC/Wasps/Sisu).

Now here's a question, can Sisu halt the legal process but then restart it again at a later date? Would they have to start from scratch? Or would it be once they dropped it, it would remain dropped unless something new was offered as evidence?

I am no legal expert, but surely if they dropped the legals it wouldn't be very easy to start them again?

Its also interesting that Millerchump is exploring other potential developments for the Butts site - that would have huge implication for CRFC too.

"He also said alternative options were being seriously explored, adding talks with other organisations had taken place and that he was hopeful a final decision about the future of the site could be made by the end of the year."

I don't know
I would like to know what we're the talks.
When was the attempt to arrange them
How was each party asked
What was the aim and what were the respective replies

There are no talks it's millerchump pursuing his own agenda.

We will stop when he stops getting any credibility on here for adding anything of value.

He launched a coventry sports foundation the same time as wasps arrived in coventry.

Yet he says something about sisu not joining in talks and that's it for you - he's a good guy.

Millerchip just wants crfc to be self sustainable and prosper. Funny how he's only just started talking to potential developers when ccfc groundshare is being mooted. Could of been doing it from the get go, no? Oh and that's without him promoting wasps. Why are all these people sticking their nose in? The legals are between ccc and sisu. Not wasps or millerchip or csf. Why don't they all just wind their neck in?

Wonder how long in advance that was being planned to setup?

Also that Breed was talking them in advance to set it up, so it is more than just a coincidence they happened to just pick the Higgs as their training base isn't it?

The funniest quote was one from Armstrong where he said when he "heard" a swimming pool was being built he wondered "could we use that"

I'm sure he didn't know in advance.

Couldn't - he said he'd heard it somewhere.

Reminds me of a certain council leader talking about the Ricoh and we all know how well that turned out for the team it was built for.

I talk to people in the know and then I also come on here
Whatever happened to him, he was hilarious with how obvious he was with his Wasps BS. Seemed to mysteriously disappear around the same time Nick suggest he make a charity donation for his blatant advertising.

He was actually from Wasps.. Either that or somebody did a very good job of reversing it to make it look like a certain individual from Wasps.

We have seen how much Wasps don't want to be disliked, we have seen PR is very important to us. Whilst I am not saying it is not happening, you would have thought they would have been very keen to let people know SISU had been starting more legal action wouldn't they in one way or another?

OR, is it a rumour being put out there so if they do take action about things they can look back and blame it on that?

Millerchip is also saying about legals being dropped, is he referring to the JR stuff or is that action against him from SISU too? He will be ok, he is a lawyer. He would get on with the Higgs family, they are all lawyers. Just in case people didn't know.

You might want to take some time to find out exactly who Chris Millerchip is and what he's done. The man is a walking encyclopedia on law, he even co founded a company that lawyers go to for reference and direction.

It may just be possible he understands how futile the JR's are and realises that they are not only doomed for failure are also doing irreparable damage to CCFC in the first place and doesn't want CRFC dragging into that one way street of doom. Let's not forget that this is also a man who played for CRFC, has donated money to the club to save it in the past and I guess was the architect of the covenant on the BPA to protect it from people, companies, whatever who don't have CRFC's best interests at heart. Maybe he is just qualified to see the wood through the trees and has a personal interest in protecting CRFC.

"Chris, just to let you know we're in talks with SISU"

He has not donated any where near as much as Jon Sharp, so he has a bigger interest!
There is no covenant on the BPA - read what what of your leaders , Nigel Clewes has said
He most certainly has a personal interest - see the last name on the City of Rugby sponsors

I'll take your word for it as I've no idea to be honest how much either have donated over the years. Just when looking into Millerchip I came across a few articles saying he's made donations to CRFC. Most notably a £50K donation to stop them from going under. What is Jon Sharps background/historical connection with CRFC? Can't say I could find to much information on him when I looked.

Your leaders? Was that a poor attempt at being a bad parody of Grendull?

Millerchip saved CRFC in the same way that the council saved the football club. Took possession of the freehold of the land they're on.
