Said it before, but we really should be looking to get a significant fee for Palmer from the PL this summer to reinvest across the squad. He's bang on in his interview. Still as we have a better footballer in Palmer, we won't miss him will we...
Well that would make you wonder why not accept any offer? It was clear something happened in January, just after his flurry of goals and return to form. Either someone came in with an offer, and the club rejected it, or he told the club he was definitely leaving at the end of the season, and Robins benched him as a result of that.
I tend to believe the former. Either way Robins did drop him.
It was clear (to me anyway) O'Hare's body language then changed (when he played). I don't think his performances were necessarily bad, but less intense.
When we lost the Man U game, and O'Hare is clapping the fans, Robins consoles him, and O'Hare's face tells a thousand words, almost like he doesn't want to hear it.
Fair play to Robins. Stuck to his principles. Fergie would of done the same.

Sorry, just trying to get my head around this.Moral of the story........isn't greener other grass the side on

MR wanted O'hare to stay, C.O. was on £10k a week and DK offered £11k which was instantly rejected. The offer eventually got increased to £12k a week take it or leave it, but by that time O'hare's agent had received offers from other championship sides of double that offer so the club were informed that CO was leaving. (This all happened before Rudoni was signed)
Apparently AV was fuming that we hadn't made an effort to keep O'hare, and he and DK had a blazing row, DK said that we'd paid O'hare a fortune over the 12 months that he was injured and was reluctant to end up in a Jodie Jones situation.
That's what I've been told, if you choose not to believe it that's fine, if you'd sooner I not post what I've heard then just say so and I'll keep it to myself, but I don't need some random total bell end like @shepard01 giving me grief over info I've offered to genuine fans.
Incidentally, DK got Oly Dovins transfer fee halved, in order to meet his wage demands which apparently put him up there with the highest paid players at the club.
With that kind of salary he could buy up two adjoining bars on the Benidorm front instead of just one and knock them together to create a really enormous egg and chips emporium, bigger than before. As fatso said in the above message regarding why COH didn't sign the new contract on the table, he was on 10k a week and the club's new offer was 11k and then reluctantly raised to 12k. Of course he didn't accept that, why would he when he could get twice as much somewhere else? On top of that, Robins continually left him on the bench in favour of Palmer. That told him we didn't want him enough and he moved on.
Poor form with snarky comments like 'I was taken out the team', he was taken out the team cause he made it abundantly clear he was going to leave and because you could count on one hand how many times he bust a gut after the Leicester game last season
Fuck him
needs another 'the'Sorry, just trying to get my head around this.
No players are ever going to mention money in regards to moving clubs. He's in his first week there, would be odd for him to say it was a contract dispute why he left and he's there now for the pay rise. It's generic bland player interview stuff of wanting as much game time as possible and hunger to play, that's what fans want to hear from a new signing.I reiterate, I have no issues with O'Hare leaving, but this chafes my crack a little. It's clear he left because he believed he would have offers from Premier League teams, or teams abroad, whilst maximising his earnings - completely fair - but when this didn't happen, he signed for the team who offered him the best contract, even if it was a massive sideways move, hence signing for Sheffield Utd.
However, he has attempted to turn a situation on its head and claim it was lack of playing time that drove him away, that is being disingenuous at best, lying at worst. But if that is his prerogative, that's his right, I wish him the best but would have a strange satisfaction to see us go up whilst Sheffield Utd finish in mid-table obscurity.
"So, Callum, welcome to Sheffield United. I'm sure you're glad to get the deal over the line; what was it that attracted you to the club?"No players are ever going to mention money in regards to moving clubs. Don't disagree, because I didn't at any point suggest O'Hare should be completely candid on what happened, but shouldn't misrepresent the contract situation either. No players are ever going to mention money in regards to moving clubs. How did he misrepresent it though?Don't disagree, because I didn't at any point suggest O'Hare should be completely candid on what happened, but shouldn't misrepresent the contract situation either.
How so? By saying a non descript "things happened and I was taken out of the team"? Isn't that factual? He's not alluded to anything or blamed anyoneAh well , lads come across as a right prick and has tarnished his time here , fuck him the jumped up brummy c**t

So it's just your issue and you're bitter he's left. Now I followGo shag him then , he's a wank
If we believe it, his form collapsed due to fatigue and the cup runHis form fell off a cliff from January onwards, so he got benched. He’s also not fooling anyone if they think that Sheff Utd was his preferred destination all along-as with Hamer they were probably the only show in town.
Doesn’t make us better off with another year of Kasey Palmer though.

How is it snide? He was taken out of the team, that's a fact. More than anything, he looks uncomfortable talking about it.No he clearly throws a snide remark about being took out the team , we have eardrums , you're choosing to ignore it .. most aren't
I disagreeIf we believe it, his form collapsed due to fatigue and the cup run
The worst ever was when Andy Morrell scored against us at the Ricoh. Loads of our fans clapped the goal. Fucking weird.I will be the first to stand up and clap when he scores against us.
It’s the done thing since McSheffrey for Scunthorpe.
